It measures 20 cm high, 10 cm long and 12 cm wide, takes one G9 bulb and comes in white or gray.

An aluminum sconce with graphic rays of light

The slots are the signature of this aluminum sconce. When lit, Blocco lets fine rays of light through, drawn on the wall on either side of the block. One beam goes toward the ceiling, another toward the floor.

The bulb stays hidden inside. Only its light escapes, which ensures real visual comfort in passageways. At 10 cm long and 12 cm wide, the tall, narrow shape suits small sections of wall.

Even when switched off, the block gives rhythm to the wall. It adds an architectural detail to a very plain wall.

White or gray sconce: which finish to choose?

The white sconce looks light and bright on a pale paint. It fades into the background by day and leaves all the room to the rays once lit. In an office, it lights the wall and provides a restful background light.

The gray version matches raw concrete and mineral plasters. On a gray wall, it blends into the material and lets the light put on the show. The 2 finishes have exactly the same shape.

Where to install this hallway wall sconce?

Used as a hallway wall sconce, it is fitted in a row, at regular intervals. A few sconces in a line create a gallery effect and give depth to a narrow passage. The grazing light reveals the texture of the wall.

In a bedroom, a wall sconce on each side of the bed gives a soft light. In a living room, on either side of a wall-mounted TV, it softens the contrast of the screen. In a dining room, a pair framing a sideboard adds accent light.

It also finds its place in a kitchen, on a free wall. To align several sconces, mark a level line before fixing the blocks.

Which G9 bulb for this sconce?

Blocco takes 1 G9 bulb, LED, 12 W maximum, not included. A warm white tints the rays with a soft hue, which brings out wood and natural materials. A neutral white gives a more precise pattern, appreciated in modern interiors.

In a series, install the same bulb throughout to obtain identical effects. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

For maintenance, switch off the power and let the bulb cool. Then run a brush through the slots and a dry cloth over the block, so that the rays keep their full sharpness.

Frequently asked questions about the Blocco wall sconce

Which bulb does the Blocco wall sconce need?

A G9 LED bulb, 12 W maximum.
