applique-murale-led-disque-halo-retroeclaire-borgen
Wall Sconce | BORGEN

A flat 30 cm disc, set off the wall, that seems to float when lit: this LED wall sconce hides its source behind the plate and draws a crown of light on the wall. From Thoro, the Borgen sconce is only 3.5 cm thick and comes in seven finishes, including an oak front.

A round wall sconce with an eclipse effect

The Borgen sconce rests on a simple idea: an opaque disc 30 cm in diameter, set a few centimeters from the wall, surrounded by a halo. The contrast between the dark circle and the light around it recalls a solar eclipse. The effect changes with the material of the wall: sharp on smooth plaster, more vibrant on stone or textured concrete.

At 3.5 cm thick, this round wall sconce stays very discreet in profile. When off, it reads as a graphic disc; when on, it turns a bare wall into a luminous decor. It suits a contemporary interior as well as a warmer decoration.

An indirect lighting sconce, 20 W LED in 3000 K

The light never reaches you head-on: it first lights the wall, then spreads into the room. This indirect lighting stays soft, with no dazzling point. The 20 W LED source delivers about 2400 lumens in warm white 3000 K, enough to dress a wall and create a real ambiance, without replacing the main ceiling light.

The LED is integrated and supplied with the sconce: you have no bulb to buy. For the halo to develop fully, leave a clear space around the disc, because a shelf or a frame too close would cut the circle of light. The sconce is rated IP20, for indoor use in dry rooms.

Seven finishes, including an oak wood wall sconce

White and beige almost merge with a light wall and leave all the room to the halo: these are the most discreet versions. Black draws a very marked disc, particularly successful on a dark wood or stone wall. Olive green, red ochre and gold bring a note of matte color, in the spirit of the 70s.

The seventh version is a wooden wall sconce: its oak front shows the natural grain of the material. It goes well with a parquet floor, a wooden headboard or Scandinavian furniture with clean lines. Combined on the same wall, several finishes form a composition that is both warm and modern.

A wall sconce for the bedroom, living room or hallway

A single Borgen sconce is enough to create an accent point above an entryway console or near an armchair. In a bedroom, two discs on either side of the bed offer an ambient light in the evening: a bedroom wall sconce whose slim profile avoids bumps. In a stairwell or on a large wall, several discs placed at different heights make up a true installation.

The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, a soft, dry cloth is enough on the metal versions. On the oak version, avoid water and household products, which could tarnish the wood.

With its flat 30 cm disc, its halo on the wall and its seven finishes, the Borgen sconce by Thoro brings an indirect light and a real wall decor. Integrated 20 W LED, warm white 3000 K: made in Poland, it can be installed in any dry room of the home, alone or in a series.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0574/3299/8057/files/applique-murale-led-disque-retroeclaire-borgen-objet-circulaire-blanc-453.webp?v=1790005476
