suspension-douille-metal-gravure-quadrillee-heavy-metal
Pendant Light | HEAVY METAL (Cross)

The Heavy Metal pendant light with cross knurling by Buster + Punch is a solid metal lamp holder designed to be hung, decorated with a diamond-cut crisscross knurl. It comes with a 300 cm cable, takes 1 E27 bulb and is available in 4 finishes: black, smoked bronze, brass and steel.

A solid metal lamp holder pendant light

This lamp holder pendant light comes down to the essentials: a piece of solid metal that holds the bulb, at the end of a cable. There is neither a shade nor glass around the light source. The bulb remains fully visible and is part of the light fixture, whether on or off.

The metal features the cross knurling, known as Cross, a diamond-cut crisscross knurl. This texture catches the light and gives substance to a very simple object. The same pattern is found on the brand's switches, which makes it possible to match the lighting and the wiring devices in a room.

The cable is matte black rubber. It joins a metal ceiling rose, which is also matte black. The whole remains discreet and lets the eye go to the knurled metal and to the bulb.

Pendant light in brass, steel, smoked bronze or black

This brass pendant light also comes in steel, smoked bronze and black. The brass version is made of solid brass. The steel version is solid stainless steel, and the black version is black anodized metal.

The choice of finish depends on the other metals in the room. Brass and smoked bronze warm up a light interior, while steel remains more neutral. Black blends into a dark setting and lets the bulb take over.

In all 4 finishes, the cable and the ceiling rose remain matte black. You can therefore bring several finishes together in a single arrangement without losing the unity of the whole. Only the metal of the lamp holder changes from one pendant light to the next.

Which E27 bulb for the Heavy Metal pendant light?

The pendant light takes 1 E27 bulb of 40 W maximum, which is not included. It is designed for an LED bulb. The light fixture connects to the mains, at 220-240 V.

Buster + Punch recommends pairing it with one of its Buster Bulb LED bulbs, sold separately. As nothing hides the light source, its appearance matters as much as its light. Choose it with the same care as the light fixture.

The pendant light has only one light source. To light a large table or a countertop, it is better to plan for several. In that case, keep the same bulb across the whole row, for even light.

Where to install this industrial pendant light?

This industrial pendant light can be installed on its own, next to a bed in a bedroom, above a desk or in a hallway. It has more impact in a row: lined up above a dining table or a kitchen island, at regular intervals. In a living room or a stairwell, you can also group it at staggered heights.

The cable measures 300 cm and its length is adjustable. This hanging light fixture therefore suits a high ceiling as well as a ceiling of standard height. The Heavy Metal range also includes a pendant light with the linear knurling, known as Linear.

The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is reserved for dry rooms. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. 2 wood screws and 2 anchors are included: check that the anchors suit the type of ceiling you have.

Frequently asked questions about the Heavy Metal pendant light with cross knurling

Which bulb does the Heavy Metal pendant light need?

An E27 bulb of 40 W maximum.
