plafonnier-rectangulaire-cage-metal-noir-marbre-caged-5-0
Ceiling Light Fixture | CAGED (5.0)

The Caged 5.0 ceiling light by Buster + Punch is a long rectangular cage in matte black metal, mounted beneath a polished marble panel, which lines up 5 bulbs. It measures 110 cm long, 18.5 cm deep and 53 cm high, takes 5 E27 bulbs and comes in black marble and white marble.

A long, rectangular ceiling light

This rectangular ceiling light stretches over 110 cm for a depth of only 18.5 cm. Its matte black steel cage forms a long, narrow frame, 53 cm high. The 5 bulbs follow one another in a line, from one end to the other.

The design comes down to this open structure. The bulbs are not hidden; you can see them through the cage. It is this row of 5 points of light that gives the light fixture its character.

The lamp holders carry the cross knurling, called Cross, a crosshatched pattern engraved in the metal. They are finished in matte black, like the cage. The brand's exposed screws are part of the design.

A light fixture in polished marble, black or white

Above the bulbs, a polished marble panel runs along the entire length. This marble light fixture thus combines 2 materials, stone and steel. Each slab has its own veining, since marble is a natural stone.

The black marble finish continues the color of the cage and gives a dark ceiling light that reads as a single piece. The white marble finish lightens the whole and makes the black structure stand out. The panel can be changed; the brand designed it to be interchangeable.

The mounting method must match the type of ceiling, and mounting hardware is not included. According to the brand's instructions, the light fixture cannot be fixed to drywall alone: it must be anchored in a load-bearing support.

Which E27 LED bulb to choose for the Caged 5.0?

The ceiling light requires 5 bulbs, at a rate of one E27 LED bulb of 5 W maximum per lamp holder. None is included with the light fixture. Buster + Punch designed it for its Buster Bulb Tube, a tube-shaped LED bulb, sold separately.

In a row of 5, the slightest difference shows. So fit 5 bulbs of the same model and the same color tone. Also remember to keep one in reserve, so you can replace a bulb without mismatching the row.

A ceiling light for a dining table, bar or kitchen

Its elongated shape makes this dining table ceiling light a match for long pieces of furniture. Centered above a dining room table, it follows its line and lights it along its full length. It also works above a bar, in a kitchen or in a living room.

The Caged 5.0 is mounted directly against the ceiling. Under a high ceiling, the Caged extension kit, sold separately, lets you lengthen its drop.
