Constraints on the location of the motion detector

Also make sure that there is no direction towards other light sources or reflections, such as a swimming pool or veranda . This is important to avoid unwanted triggering.
When choosing this location, you will also need to consider the distance that the motion detector can cover. This usually varies between 1 and 10 m .
It will be useless, for example, to exceed 5 m when a public passageway is a little more than this distance away . If you do not consider this detail, the project will lose its meaning, because even the movements of people who do not plan to enter your home will be detected.
