Simple and efficient, this discreet round recessed spotlight fades into the ceiling to leave all the room to the light. Its small format fits into a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, or a hallway, and its low price makes it possible to equip a whole home with even general lighting.

A small round steel spotlight in three finishes

The Slim by Maytoni measures approximately 7 to 8.5 cm in diameter. Its steel body comes in black, white, or gold. White blends into a light ceiling and becomes almost invisible; black draws graphic dots; gold adds a warm touch in an entryway or a dining room. Its compact format fits standard drop ceilings.

A GU10 bulb of your choice

The spotlight takes a GU10 base bulb of 50 W maximum, not included. A 5 to 7 W LED in warm white at 2700 or 3000 K creates a soft ambiance; a 4000 K version suits a kitchen or an office. Choose a wide beam for general lighting, a narrower one for an accent. The bulb is easy to replace. The spotlight is rated IP20, for indoor use. Its installation and connection must be carried out by a professional.

How to space the Slim spotlights

For general lighting, allow approximately one spotlight per 1.5 to 2 m² and arrange them in a regular grid, at least 60 cm from the walls: a 12 m² bedroom thus requires six to eight spotlights. In a hallway, line them up every 1.20 to 1.50 m. In a kitchen, place a row approximately 40 cm from the wall cabinets to light the countertop without shadows.
