This designer pendant light goes beyond the simple cylinder. Its shade is made of two bands of fabric that cross and wind around each other, giving it a fluid movement that changes with the viewing angle. The dusty pink, powdery and a little faded, is paired with a light gray that calms it and modernizes it.

When lit, the pendant light lets the light pass between its two layers and draws gradients on the fabric. When off, it remains a decorative piece through its shape alone. These shades go well with white, pearl gray, blond wood, brass and linen, in a bedroom as well as in a living area.

The fabric is stretched over a rigid frame, which allows the shade to keep its design over time. Like the other BPS Koncept light fixtures, this model is handmade in Poland.

The GALAXY JASMIN fabric pendant light comes in S (40 cm wide), M (45 cm), L (50 cm) and XL (60 cm), with a shade height of 20 cm in every case. The S and the M suit a bedroom, an entryway or a reading nook. The L lights a kitchen or a table for four. The XL is the obvious choice above a large table or in the center of a living room.

Above a table, you generally adjust the height so that the bottom of the shade sits 70 or 80 cm from the tabletop: the light shines on the plates without getting in the way of the view. In the center of a room, you hang it higher, to leave the way clear.

Which bulb for this E27 pendant light?

The GALAXY JASMIN pendant light works with an E27 base bulb, not included. An E27 LED bulb is a very good fit: it uses little power and gives off little heat. A warm white creates a restful atmosphere, a neutral white gives a crisper light for a kitchen or an office.

Rated IP20, this pendant light is intended for dry rooms of the home. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
