The intermediate switch module by Buster + Punch is a toggle mechanism that works with two-way switches to control the same light from 3 or more points. It measures 1.72 cm wide by 4.5 cm high, handles 10 AX at 220 to 250 V and is sold on its own, without plate or toggle.

A toggle intermediate switch for 3 or more control points

This intermediate switch is an on/off toggle switch. Buster + Punch presents it as its intermediate module, the one that complements the two-way switches in the range.

A two-way switch controls a light from 2 places. By adding this module to the circuit, you create one more control point, for example in the middle of a long hallway or in a bedroom with several entrances.

It is not compatible with push-button circuits. For these installations, the brand offers a separate toggle push module.

10 AX intermediate switch and wall box

The module handles 10 AX at 220 to 250 V. It measures 1.72 cm wide by 4.5 cm high, like the two-way switch module in the range.

One opening in a Buster + Punch plate takes up to 2 toggle modules. You can therefore combine the intermediate switch and another switch in a single gang.

Once mounted on its plate, it is fitted on a European-standard wall box, flush with the wall. For hollow walls, the brand offers its Back Box wall box, sold separately. It is not suitable for damp environments. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Plate with inserts and finishing kit to add

The package contains 1 toggle intermediate switch module and nothing else. To install it, you need a Buster + Punch wall plate with inserts, in 1, 2, 3 or 4 gang. The plate without inserts only takes sockets and data modules.

The visible toggle is ordered separately. This is the toggle finishing kit, made up of a solid metal toggle and its nut. It comes with linear knurling, called Linear, or cross knurling, called Cross, in brass, steel, smoked bronze, black or white.

Choose the same kit as for your two-way switches. That way, the toggles on the same circuit will have the same finish and the same texture.
