Ceiling Light Fixture | TIUBE

The Tiube ceiling light by Sollux Lighting is a cylindrical aluminum downlight, surface-mounted under the ceiling. It measures 12 cm in diameter and 11 cm high, takes 1 GU10 or ES111 bulb and comes in white, gray or black.

A surface-mounted downlight, no recessing

Tiube is installed on the surface, directly against the ceiling. This surface-mounted downlight requires no cutout in the ceiling. It therefore suits solid ceilings, where a recessed spotlight is impossible.

The cylinder measures 12 cm in diameter and 11 cm high. Its compact size suits mezzanines and dressing rooms. It stays discreet in a room of standard height, as under a lower ceiling.

Its simple geometric shape has no nooks. Little dust therefore collects on it. A soft cloth is enough to maintain it, with no special product.

A cylindrical aluminum spotlight

The body of the fixture is aluminum. This cylindrical spotlight keeps a minimalist, discreet design. It suits modern interiors, from the Scandinavian living room to the loft-style kitchen.

Tiube comes in 3 colors. White blends into the ceiling, gray brings a more technical note. Black draws a clean point and echoes the dark details of the room.

This aluminum ceiling light can be installed alone or in a series. Several cylinders spread across the ceiling create distinct zones of light. Each then needs its own electrical supply.

Which GU10 or ES111 bulb to choose?

The fixture takes 1 GU10 or ES111 bulb, of 12 W maximum in LED. The GU10 bulb is not included. It is easily replaced, without changing the fixture.

The ES111 format corresponds to large reflector bulbs. It fills the diameter of the cylinder well. A standard GU10 bulb gives a smaller point of light at the bottom of the cylinder.

You are free to choose the color and intensity of the light. A warm white suits a living room or a bedroom. A more neutral white suits a hallway, a kitchen or an office.

Where to install this ceiling spotlight?

This ceiling spotlight suits hallways and entryways first. Align 2 or 3 cylinders lengthwise. The passage is lit from end to end, with no shadow zone.

In a living room or a dining room, this ceiling light lights a table, a piece of furniture or a reading corner. In a bedroom, it is placed on either side of the bed or in front of a dressing room. In a kitchen or an office, a row follows the work surface.

The fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power and let the bulb cool. Then dust the cylinder with a soft, dry cloth.
