Wall Sconce | HALO

The Halo wall sconce by Sollux Lighting is a 12 cm frosted glass globe carried by a fluted aluminum base, available in 16 colors and rated IP44. It measures 12 cm long, 17 cm wide and 12 cm high, and takes a G9 bulb.

An IP44-rated bathroom sconce

The IP44 rating protects the sconce from water splashes. This bathroom sconce can therefore be installed near a sink, where many decorative models are not suitable.

The frosted glass globe gives a soft, even light, with no harsh shadows on the face. This is what you want around a mirror.

Placed on each side of the mirror, 2 sconces light the face from the front. Place the globes at eye level. In a bathroom, the exact position must be approved by the electrician.

A glass globe set on a fluted base

The grooves of the base recall columns and give the whole a look of a small antique object. The matte globe, meanwhile, adds a contemporary note.

This globe sconce projects 17 cm from the wall. The sphere thus casts a soft shadow behind it and creates depth.

The light goes in all directions: toward the wall, toward the ceiling and toward the room. The source stays invisible behind the globe, whether you look at the sconce from the front or from the side.

16 colors: which shade to choose for the base?

White blends the base into a light wall and puts all the attention on the sphere. Black, mocha and brown, on the other hand, create a strong contrast.

Beige, taupe, pink and peach go well with light tiles, in a soft ambiance. Sage, olive green, azure blue and ultramarine match colorful ceramic tiles. Burgundy, red, ochre red and yellow bring a livelier touch.

For a pair around a mirror, choose the shade of the faucets or the cabinet handles. The whole will look as if it were drawn in a single gesture.

Where to install this sconce for a bedroom or hallway?

In a bedroom, 2 sconces on either side of the bed give a soft bedside light. This bedroom sconce thus leaves the nightstands free.

In a hallway, a series of globes at a regular height accompanies the passage. In a living room or dining room, this wall sconce adds a warm point of light above a console or a sideboard.

The sconce takes 1 G9 bulb, LED, 8 W maximum, not included. The light fixture is rated IP44, so it is protected against water splashes. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, then wipe the globe and the base with a soft cloth.
