Wall Sconce | SENSES

A pebble-shaped steel wall sconce

Neither quite round nor oval, the silhouette evokes a stone polished by water. This steel wall sconce combines simplicity, elegance and a playful shape.

Its minimalist design suits modern interiors. At 25 cm long and 29 cm high, it has the presence of a small painting. Switched off, it remains a decorative object.

The bulbs stay hidden behind the shell. The sconce is therefore pleasant to look at, even at eye level. Only the halo reveals the source of light.

White or black sconce: which finish to choose?

White blends into pale paint. On this white wall sconce, only the halo signals the presence of the light fixture. It is the most discreet choice.

Black forms a graphic spot at the center of the halo. It contrasts with a white wall and goes well with dark woodwork. On a colored wall, it keeps a crisp outline.

You can mix white and black on the same wall. In that case, keep regular spacing between the shells. Each halo thus keeps its place.

A halo of indirect light around the shell

When lit, the shell stands out from the wall against a glowing background. This indirect light envelops the room without causing glare. It creates a relaxed atmosphere, conducive to rest.

The G9 bulbs are easy to replace. You choose the shade and intensity of the light according to the room. In warm white, the halo takes on a golden tint.

A smooth, light wall returns the most even halo. The sconce can also highlight paintings or photos hung on the wall. Leave a free area around the shell, so that the light can spread.

Where to install this sconce for a living room or bedroom?

In a living area, this living room sconce sits above a low cabinet or a sofa. It creates a relaxed atmosphere for evenings. As a pair, 2 shells frame a piece of furniture or a screen.

In a bedroom, this wall sconce goes on each side of the headboard. In a hallway, several shells set the rhythm of the passage. In a dining room, it dresses the wall near the table. In an office or a kitchen, it animates a free section of wall.

Senses takes 2 LED G9 bulbs of 12 W maximum each, not included. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is reserved for dry rooms. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, then wipe the shell with a soft, dry cloth.
