Compact and luminous, this cylindrical glass wall sconce casts a soft light all around it. Its small format slips in where a classic wall sconce would be too bulky: a narrow hallway, a headboard, a bathroom mirror or an entryway.

A glass cylinder in three finishes

The Rond by Maytoni measures 10 cm in diameter and 8.8 cm in depth. Its glass diffuser sits on a steel frame offered in black, white or gold. Black emphasizes the shape on a light wall, white blends into the wall, gold adds a discreet Art Deco touch. Its shallow projection keeps it from obstructing the passage, even in a hallway less than one meter wide.

A G9 bulb for soft light

The wall sconce takes a G9 base bulb, not included. A 3 to 4 W LED bulb in warm white, around 2700 or 3000 K, creates a soft, welcoming ambiance with very low consumption, even when lit all evening. The glass spreads the light toward the wall, the ceiling and the room. The wall sconce has an IP20 rating, for indoor use. Its installation must be carried out by a professional.

How to install the Rond wall sconce

Along a hallway, place the wall sconces approximately 1.70 m from the floor and space them 1.50 to 2 m apart: you get a regular trail of light. On either side of a bathroom mirror, outside the water splash zone, mount them at face height for flattering, shadow-free light. At the head of the bed, install them approximately 1.20 m from the floor to read comfortably. In an entryway, a pair around the door offers an elegant welcome.
