The ring acts like a frame: it isolates the bulb from the rest of the wall and draws the eye to it, much like a mat around an engraving. The line is regular, calm and perfectly symmetrical. The fixture projects only 14 cm from the wall. Its cast shadow draws a second circle on the wall and reinforces the graphic effect.
