Ceiling Light Fixture | ASTRAL

The Astral ceiling light fixture from Sollux Lighting carries 3 or 5 opal glass globes at the ends of curved steel arms, white or black. It measures 62 or 64 cm wide and 29 cm high, and takes G9 bulbs.

A ceiling light with opal glass globes

Astral's shades are matte white glass globes. This globe ceiling light spreads the light evenly. It lights the room without a pronounced bright spot, softly and steadily.

The matte glass softens the brightness of the bulbs. The light stays soft, even when you look at the ceiling light. It suits rooms where people relax, such as a living room or a bedroom.

The style is minimalist. The shape remains geometric and clear. The fixture suits a modern setting as well as a more classic interior.

Curved steel arms, white or black

Astral's structure is made of steel. This steel ceiling light carries each globe at the end of a curved arm. The globes are spread around the center, at regular distances.

In white, the ceiling light blends into a light ceiling. The globes then seem to float beneath the ceiling. This version suits bright, clean-lined settings.

In black, the structure draws a more graphic contrast. The globes remain white. This version echoes woodwork, frames and dark fixtures.

3 or 5 globes: which version to choose?

The 3-globe version measures 62 cm long and 62 cm wide. It weighs 1.2 kg. It lights a bedroom, an entryway or an office.

The 5-globe version measures 58 cm long and 64 cm wide. This 5-light ceiling light weighs 1.7 kg. It dresses the center of a living room or a dining room.

The 2 versions are 29 cm high. They stay close to the ceiling. They therefore suit rooms of standard height, without getting in the way.

Where to install this living room ceiling light?

As a living room ceiling light, it is placed at the center of the room. The 5-globe version provides the general lighting. Accent lamps complete the atmosphere in the evening.

In a bedroom, this ceiling light gives a soft light above the bed. In a dining room or a kitchen, it is centered above the table. In a hallway or an entryway, the 3-globe version is enough.

Each globe takes 1 G9 bulb, LED, 8 W maximum, not included. The fixture is rated IP20, so it is restricted to dry rooms. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power and let the bulbs cool before cleaning the glass.
