The Flash wall sconce by Sollux Lighting is a white steel tube, open along part of its length, that lets the light escape toward the wall. It comes in a 1-light version, 21 cm high, and a 2-light version, 37 cm high, each light taking an E27 bulb.

A white tube-shaped wall sconce

The uniform white of the steel gives this white wall sconce a sculptural look that fits in with any pale wall. Its geometric shape suits a minimalist interior as well as a warm decor dressed in wood.

When lit, it reveals the glowing interior of the tube and draws a halo with soft edges on the wall. When off, it remains a discreet white volume.

On the 1-light version, a pivoting plate lets you change the direction of the light. You thus adapt the lighting to the moment, from reading to relaxing.

1-light or 2-light sconce: which version to choose?

The 1-light version measures 10 cm long, 10 cm wide and 21 cm high. It is enough in a hallway or beside a bed, where it creates a discreet point of light.

The 2-light version measures 10 cm long, 12 cm wide and 37 cm high. This 2-light wall sconce forms a vertical column that dresses a larger section of wall and brings more brightness to a living room.

Combining the 2 versions in the same home gives overall coherence. You simply adapt the size of the sconce to each space.

Where to install this sconce for a hallway or bedroom?

In a hallway or entryway, several 1-light sconces lined up set the rhythm of the passage. This hallway sconce then lights the wall evenly.

In a bedroom, placed above a nightstand, this wall sconce offers a subdued light for the end of the day. In a living room, the 2-light version on either side of a bookcase highlights the shelves and the displayed objects.

Which E27 bulb for this sconce?

Each light takes 1 LED E27 bulb of 15 W maximum, not included. A small frosted bulb fits easily in the tube and gives a steady light. Check its length before buying, because a model that is too long would extend beyond the tube.

In warm white, the inside of the cylinder takes on a golden tint that warms the white of the steel. On the 2-light version, use 2 identical bulbs. The fixture is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

For maintenance, switch off the power and let the bulb cool. A soft, dry cloth is enough on the smooth surface of the steel, without abrasive products.
