Ceiling Light Fixture | FORNES

The Fornes ceiling light by Sollux Lighting is a black steel bar carrying 2 or 3 adjustable lamp holders, with no shade, where the bulb remains exposed. The 2-light version is 33 cm long, the 3-light version 40 cm, with E27 bulbs.

A black ceiling light with a minimalist design

Fornes goes straight to the essentials, with a metal base and lamp holders. This black ceiling light has no shade and no nooks. Its dark line reads clearly against a white ceiling.

The deep black suits most interiors. It echoes dark frames, handles and furniture bases. The style stays modern and minimalist.

At 6 cm wide and 13.5 cm high, the bar stays compact. It suits ceilings of standard height. It does not overload the room.

Adjustable lamp holders and exposed bulbs

The lighting angle can be adjusted. With this adjustable ceiling light, you direct the light toward a specific part of the room. You can light a table, a wall or a reading nook.

The bulb is part of the decor. A decorative LED filament bulb shows off the shape. A globe bulb gives a softer look.

Since the bulb stays visible, prefer a warm light with little glare. Keep the same model on all the lamp holders. The whole then stays uniform.

2 or 3 lights: which version to choose?

The 2-light version is 33 cm long. It suits a hallway, an office or a bedroom. The 3-light ceiling light is 40 cm long and lights a living room or a kitchen.

The 2 versions have the same width and the same height. They pair without difficulty in 2 neighboring rooms. In a large room, 2 aligned bars give more light.

Without a shade, maintenance is simple. You just wipe the bar and the lamp holders. Dust finds no nook in which to settle.

Where to install this ceiling light for a living room?

In a living room, this living room ceiling light lights the sofa area and a shelf. Aim the bulbs toward the areas you want to highlight. In a dining room, the bar lines up with the table.

In a kitchen, this ceiling light is placed above the countertop. In a bedroom or a child's bedroom, it gives general light. In a hallway, bulbs turned toward the walls light the passage. In an office, it lights the table.

Each lamp holder takes 1 LED E27 bulb of 15 W maximum, not included. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, let the bulbs cool, then wipe the bar with a soft, dry cloth.
