This designer LED wall sconce takes the form of a slim light bar set on a small angled foot that lifts it off the wall and makes it appear balanced. Signed by Thoro, the Lahti sconce comes in three lengths, from 50 cm to 90 cm, and in six colors: a light strip turned graphic object, to be used alone or in a composition in a living room, a bedroom or a hallway.
A linear wall sconce on an angled foot
The Lahti sconce starts from a simple idea: a luminous aluminum bar, 4 cm wide, fixed to the wall by an angled foot placed at one of its ends. This asymmetrical base creates a visual offset that is enough to turn a simple light strip into a decorative piece. Depending on the orientation you choose, the foot serves as a base, a top or an anchor point.
The LED module lights the full length of the bar, toward the wall. The result is a soft halo that surrounds this linear wall sconce and gives the wall an enveloping light. Switched off, it remains a clean line that structures the room; switched on, it brings out wallpaper, paneling or textured paint.
LED ambient lighting in 3000 K or 4000 K
The LED is integrated and included: no bulb is needed. Depending on the size and color, the power ranges from about 9 W to 20 W, with a color rendering index of 90 that respects the shades of your decor. Lahti remains above all ambient lighting, to be combined with a ceiling light or a pendant light for general lighting. The sconce runs on 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating, for dry rooms.
Two light tones are offered. Warm white 3000 K creates a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a living room, a bedroom or a restaurant in the evening. Neutral white 4000 K gives a brighter light, better suited to an office, a hall or a retail space. In a composition of several sconces, keep a single temperature: halos of different tones would break the unity of the wall.
Three lengths from 50 cm to 90 cm and six colors
The 50 cm version suits an entryway, a hallway or a bedroom. The 70 cm one dresses a living room wall, while the 90 cm model goes with a taller space or a large stretch of wall. All three sizes share the same slim profile, so they can be mixed seamlessly.
Six finishes are available. White, black and gold create sharp contrasts and combine easily with each other. Beige, olive green and red ochre bring softer tones, suited to interiors in natural colors. For a harmonious result, combine different sizes in the same color, or the same size in neighboring colors.
A wall sconce for living room, bedroom or hallway
Mounted vertically, this living room wall sconce frames a door, a mirror or a headboard equally well. Mounted horizontally, above a console or a sideboard, it underlines the line of the furniture and softly lights the objects placed on it. Set diagonally, several crossed sconces form a luminous wall composition, for example an X pattern that combines two finishes.
The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before drilling, outline the composition on the wall with masking tape and step back to adjust the angles and spacing. If you plan several sconces, think of a power supply for each one from the construction stage. For maintenance, a soft, dry cloth is enough, with no abrasive product.
With its light bar set on an angled foot, its three lengths and its six colors, the Lahti sconce by Thoro composes free, graphic lines of light on the wall. Made in Poland, in aluminum, it can be installed alone or in groups, vertically, horizontally or at an angle, depending on the effect you want.
