This linear LED wall sconce is an aluminum profile with a 6 cm square section, mounted horizontally on the wall, with an opal diffuser on its underside. Designed by Thoro, the Pinne sconce comes in five lengths, from 67 cm to 200 cm, and in three colors: the rigor of office lighting, suited to the home as well as to professional spaces.
An aluminum wall sconce with a square profile
The Pinne sconce relies on geometry. Its 6 cm profile, with crisp edges, gives it a very understated architectural look. Switched off, it reads as a simple line drawn on the wall; switched on, it becomes a continuous band of light. This aluminum wall sconce does without any ornament and therefore fits with most contemporary interiors.
The LED module shines downward through the opal diffuser. The light falls evenly on the wall and on whatever is beneath it, without revealing the individual points of light. The Pinne collection also exists as a ceiling light and a pendant light from Thoro, with the same lengths and the same colors, to equip an entire room consistently.
A wall-mounted LED strip in 3000 K or 4000 K
The LED is integrated and included with the light fixture. Its color rendering index of 90 ensures a pleasant light for reading, working or showcasing a painting. This wall-mounted LED strip runs on 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating, for indoor use in dry rooms.
Two shades are available. The 3000 K warm white suits living rooms, bedrooms and reception areas, where the light should remain welcoming. The 4000 K neutral white is better suited to offices, workshops, gyms and kitchens, where good visibility is wanted. If you combine Pinne sconces, ceiling lights and pendant lights in the same space, keep the same temperature throughout.
Five lengths from 67 cm to 200 cm, in white, black or gray
The 67 cm version delivers about 2000 lumens for 16 W: it is sufficient above an individual desk, a headboard or a small painting. The 90 cm and 118 cm models, at 24 W and 28 W, suit a countertop, a sideboard or a hallway wall. The 150 cm and 200 cm versions, up to 50 W and 6500 lumens, light a large office wall, a gym or a reception hall.
Three finishes are available. White blends into a light wall and makes you forget the light fixture in favor of the light. The black wall sconce on the contrary emphasizes the geometry of the profile, with a very graphic line on a white or concrete wall. Gray offers an elegant compromise, in harmony with brushed steel and mineral shades.
A sconce for the office, kitchen or hallway
In a home office, this office wall sconce in 4000 K clearly lights the workstation, while warmer general lighting balances the rest of the room. In a kitchen, it goes above the countertop. In a hallway or a bedroom, it advantageously replaces several small sconces. Choose a length slightly shorter than that of the piece of furniture or the surface to be lit: the line will look integrated into the layout.
The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For the longer lengths, plan on two people and check that it is level before tightening the fixings: over 200 cm, the slightest deviation is noticeable. For maintenance, dust the profile and the diffuser with a soft, dry cloth.
With its square profile, its opal diffuser, its five lengths and its three colors, the Pinne sconce by Thoro brings a clean, even line of light to the wall. Made in Poland, it moves easily from the office to the living room, from the kitchen to the reception hall.
