Ceiling Light Fixture | CULLO (Concrete)

The Cullo ceiling light from Sollux Lighting is a gray concrete cylinder, surface-mounted on the ceiling, whose spotlight directs the light downward. It measures 14 cm long and 14 cm high, and takes a GU10 bulb.

A concrete ceiling light with a raw texture

The surface of the cylinder shows slight variations of gray. These irregularities, typical of concrete, make each concrete ceiling light unique. The shape remains very simple: a solid volume, without ornament.

The light gray matches polished concrete floors, plastered walls and light wood furniture. Even when switched off, Cullo remains a decorative object. Its material reveals its texture throughout the day.

Its minimalist silhouette suits modern interiors. It also fits industrial or loft style decor. Its shape, with no hard-to-reach corners, is easy to clean. Compact, it is discreet in size and present through its material.

A ceiling spotlight with focused light

The bulb sits at the bottom of the cylinder. This ceiling spotlight produces a sharp circle of light on the floor or on the furniture. It lights a table or a passageway precisely.

The depth of the concrete hides the bulb as soon as you move away from the axis. The lighting stays comfortable for the eyes. It suits the area above a circulation zone, such as a hallway or an entryway.

A narrow angle highlights an object. A wider angle lights a larger surface. A warm white warms the gray of the concrete and makes the atmosphere more welcoming.

A designer ceiling light to use alone or in a series

Alone above a console or a painting, this designer ceiling light creates a focal point. Installed in a series, several cylinders create even lighting. They structure the ceiling of a long room.

For a row, keep the same bulb throughout. The halos then keep the same size and the same tint. Mark a reference line before drilling, because the slightest misalignment is noticeable.

Concrete is heavier than aluminum. Check the strength of the support. Use anchors suited to the type of ceiling.

Where to install this hallway ceiling light?

This hallway ceiling light is installed in a line, at regular intervals. It thus accompanies the passage. Above a bench or a low piece of furniture, a single spotlight offers understated light.

In a living room, this ceiling light is installed in a group of 3 above the sofa, for a calm light. In a bedroom, placed above a dressing room, it lights the clothes without illuminating the whole room. In a dining room, a row of cylinders follows the length of the table.

Cullo takes 1 LED GU10 bulb of 12 W maximum, not included. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, then dust the concrete with a dry brush or a soft cloth.
