Ceiling Light Fixture | SKALA 100 (White)

The Skala 100 ceiling light from Sollux Lighting is a large-diameter round ceiling light with a white fabric shade and a glass diffuser. It measures 100 cm in diameter and 20 cm high, and takes 6 E27 bulbs.

A large-diameter ceiling light of 100 cm

Skala 100 is the largest model in the range. This large-diameter ceiling light measures 100 cm, the width of a round table. It becomes the central element of the ceiling.

Its height stays limited to 20 cm. The light fixture sits flush against the ceiling and does not drop down into the room. You enjoy a large luminous volume without losing any height.

This format needs space. It is meant for living areas, large living rooms and open-plan rooms. In a medium-sized room, a smaller diameter will be better proportioned.

A white ceiling light in fabric and glass

The white fabric shade surrounds the light fixture all the way around. It gives the ceiling a soft presence, close to that of a lamp shade. The glass closes the underside and diffuses the light into the room.

This white ceiling light blends into a light ceiling despite its size. It lights the room without visually darkening it. The frame is made of metal.

The style is minimalist and modern. The round shape softens the straight lines of a large living area. It pairs with light wood, natural textiles and neutral tones.

6 E27 bulbs for a large room

The light fixture takes 6 LED bulbs of 15 W maximum each. The E27 bulbs are not included. You therefore choose the color and the power of the light yourself.

With 6 light sources, the ceiling light can provide the general lighting of a large room. Fit 6 identical bulbs to get an even light. Keep a few spare bulbs of the same model.

A warm white sets a relaxed atmosphere in a living room. A neutral white gives a brighter light in a kitchen or an office. Accent lamps complete the lighting in the evening.

Where to install this living area ceiling light?

As a living area ceiling light, it sits in the center of the room or above the sofa area. Its diameter suits a large corner sofa or a large rug. It provides a visual landmark in an open-plan room.

In a dining room, this ceiling light is centered above a large table. In an open kitchen, it marks the dining corner. In a large bedroom or a spacious office, it serves as the main lighting.

The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is reserved for dry rooms. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. A light fixture of this diameter is easier to install with 2 people. For maintenance, switch off the power, then dust the fabric with a soft brush.
