Pendant Light | RIO EIK

With its luminous ring clad in genuine oak veneer, this wooden chandelier combines the precision of an LED line with the warmth of a natural material. Designed by Thoro, the Rio Eik chandelier measures 78 cm in diameter and gives off a 3000 K warm white light: a light fixture ideally suited above a table, in a living room or in an open kitchen.

The oak veneer covers the entire visible edge of the ring. Depending on the lighting in the room, the wood grain stands out more or less and brings life to a very simple shape. The inner edge, meanwhile, stays light and diffuses the light downward: this contrast gives the Rio Eik chandelier all its character.

Because oak is a living material, no two pieces ever show exactly the same grain pattern. Each wooden pendant light thus keeps a share of uniqueness. With a profile only 4 cm high, hung from transparent cables, the circle keeps a light silhouette beneath the ceiling.

A 33 W LED chandelier with warm light

The 33 W LED source is integrated and included with the light fixture. It delivers about 4300 lumens, enough to light a dining table or a complete living area generously. No bulb is needed at the time of installation.

The 3000 K temperature gives a warm light that extends the effect of the wood. The color rendering index of 93 faithfully reproduces the shades of textiles, tableware and furniture. The light fixture has an IP20 protection rating, for indoor use in dry rooms, away from steam and humidity.

A 78 cm pendant light, adjustable up to 2 m

The ring measures 78 cm in diameter and hangs from transparent cables, adjustable during installation up to 2 m below the ceiling. It is fixed with a round 15 cm mounting plate, placed above the electrical outlet.

Above a table, aim for about 70 cm between the tabletop and the bottom of the ring. This circular pendant light works particularly well with a round table or a circular rug, whose geometry it echoes overhead.

A Scandinavian chandelier for the dining room, living room or kitchen

Above a solid wood table, this Scandinavian chandelier responds directly to the material of the tabletop and unifies the dining area. In a living room, it hangs above the coffee table. In an open kitchen, hung above the island, it links the cabinet fronts with a wood or stone countertop. Its combination of wood and an LED line also suits bohemian or rustic interiors.

The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The veneer needs a little care: dust it with a dry cloth and avoid damp or abrasive products, which would mark the surface.
