Desk Lamp | RAYO

The Rayo desk lamp from Sollux Lighting is a matte aluminum spotlight with a grooved reflector, carried by a slim stem and a round base, that can be turned to direct the light. It measures 14.5 cm long, 14.5 cm wide and 43 cm high, takes one GU10 bulb and comes in 14 colors.

A designer desk lamp with a grooved reflector

Rayo is recognizable by its rectangular reflector, covered in fine, closely spaced fluting. This relief gives this designer desk lamp a modern look. It sets it apart from an ordinary desk model.

The silhouette stays very clean: a base, a straight stem and a small reflector. With sides of 14.5 cm, the base takes up little space. The lamp fits on a desk as well as on a bedside table.

The matte finish prevents glare. When off, the lamp remains a graphic object. Its lines suit modern, minimalist interiors.

An adjustable spotlight for precise light

The reflector can be turned. This adjustable spotlight directs the light toward a work surface, a book or a shelf. You light only what you need.

The GU10 bulb gives a directed beam. A narrow beam suits reading. A wider angle lights the whole surface.

The lamp has a switch. You turn it on and off without unplugging it. A neutral white suits work, a warm white evening reading.

A matte aluminum lamp, in 14 colors

Rayo is made of matte powder-coated aluminum. This aluminum lamp comes in 14 colors. White, beige and taupe remain understated on a light surface.

Black and brown go with most desks. Sage, azure blue and olive green create a calm atmosphere, conducive to concentration. Pink and yellow bring a more cheerful note.

Red, ochre red, burgundy and ultramarine give character. Matched with an armchair or a poster, the lamp becomes a color accent. A desk lamp is seen up close: choose a shade you will enjoy for a long time.

Where to place this lamp: desk, bedside or console?

On a desk, place the lamp on the side opposite the writing hand. The shadow of the hand then no longer falls on the page. Aim the spotlight at the documents rather than at the screen.

In a bedroom, this bedside lamp turns toward the book. In a living room, this lamp highlights an object or a plant on a shelf. In a hallway, on a console, it lights a frame or a mirror. In a dining room or a kitchen, it sits on a sideboard.

Rayo takes 1 GU10 bulb, LED, 10 W maximum, not included. The fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. For maintenance, unplug the lamp, then dust the fluting with a soft, dry cloth.
