Wall Sconce | VEGA

The Vega wall sconce by Sollux Lighting is a rectangular block of ceramic or concrete, combined with glass, that diffuses light upward and downward. It comes in 30 cm, 32.5 cm or 50 cm lengths, in white, gray or black, and works with an E27 base.

A designer wall sconce with simple lines

Vega is a simple, geometric block set against the wall. This designer wall sconce is discreet by day. Its clean shape also makes it easy to clean.

In the evening, it casts a pattern of light on the wall. It suits modern, minimalist interiors. The concrete versions also fit a Scandinavian, loft or industrial setting.

Mounted in a row at the same height, the sconces set a rhythm along a long wall. Used alone, it highlights a low cabinet or a console table. In a pair, it frames a mirror or a picture.

Ceramic or concrete: which version to choose?

The ceramic wall sconce measures 32.5 cm long, 9.5 cm wide and 9.5 cm high. It comes in white, gray and black. The Line version is available in white.

The 2 white ceramic versions can be painted with standard wall paint. You can therefore match them to the color of the wall. You can also keep their original matte white.

The gray concrete versions come in 2 sizes. The small one measures 30 cm long, 12 cm wide and 10 cm high. The large one measures 50 cm long, 12 cm wide and 10 cm high. Concrete goes well with mineral plasters and metal.

Indirect lighting upward and downward

The ceramic versions diffuse light upward and downward. This indirect lighting highlights the surface of the wall. The matte white housing reinforces this effect even further.

The concrete versions also diffuse light in 2 directions. The 2 beams draw a pattern on the wall. They light the room more broadly.

The E27 base allows a wide choice of bulbs. You choose the intensity and shade of the light, from warm white to cool white. A warm white flatters ceramic and concrete alike.

Where to install this sconce for a hallway or living room?

This hallway wall sconce is mounted in a row to guide the eye along the passage. It takes up little space on the wall. Align the sconces with a level, as a misalignment is quickly noticed on a rectangular shape.

In a living room, this wall sconce frames a sofa or a bookcase. In a bedroom, it provides ambient light above a chest of drawers. In a dining room, the 50 cm version dresses a large wall. In a kitchen, it lights a wall near the dining area.

Vega works with E27 bulbs (LED, 15 W maximum), not included. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is restricted to dry rooms. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, then dust the ceramic or concrete with a soft, dry cloth.
