A compact bar in bronze or white metal

The Renoir by Maytoni measures 36 cm in length, 12 cm in height and 21 cm in projection. Its metal structure is available in a gold finish with patinated highlights, which suits antique and gilded frames, or in white, which blends into a light wall to leave all the room to the artwork. Its 21 cm projection places the light source at the right distance to light the entire surface of the painting.

An E14 bulb suited to artworks

The wall sconce takes an E14 base bulb of 25 W maximum, not included. A 3 to 4 W LED bulb in warm white respects the colors of the artwork and limits heat, unlike old halogen bulbs, which could damage the pigments. The wall sconce has an IP20 rating, for indoor use. Its installation must be carried out by a professional.

How to install the Renoir wall sconce

Choose it for a frame approximately 40 to 90 cm wide, and center it just above, 5 or 10 cm from the top of the frame: the light falls across the whole canvas without any distracting reflection. For a wider painting, install two Renoir side by side. Above a mirror, it provides a soft light for getting ready. Above a bookcase or a console table, it acts as an ambient reading light.
