A linear pendant light in oak wood

The grain of the oak differs from one piece to the next. This detail of material is what sets the Lykke pendant light apart from models made of aluminum or steel, and what turns a simple bar of light into a warm object.

The housing of this linear pendant light is only 3.5 cm wide. Seen from the side, it is reduced to a fine line of wood, which greatly lightens its presence above the tabletop. The black cable and the small 3.5 cm ceiling canopy remain very discreet.

An LED pendant light of 29 W or 36 W

This LED pendant light houses an integrated light source that is included: no bulb to choose or replace. According to the manufacturer's data, the 120 cm version delivers 29 W for nearly 2900 lumens in warm white. The 150 cm version rises to 36 W and about 3500 lumens.

The color rendering index of 93 keeps colors true on dishes, textiles and the tabletop. The light fixture runs on 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating: reserve it for dry rooms and avoid locations exposed to steam.

The 120 cm version suits a table seating 4 to 6, a compact island or a long office desk set against a wall. The 150 cm version goes with large tables and restaurant counters. In both cases, choose a length shorter than that of the furniture: a bar that overhangs the tabletop lights the floor rather than the guests.

The warm white 3000 K highlights the golden tones of the oak and creates a welcoming atmosphere in a dining room or living room. Neutral white 4000 K makes the light crisper and suits an office or a work surface better. Its stated flux is slightly lower than that of warm white, but the light looks brighter to the eye.

A pendant light for dining room, kitchen island or living room

Above a dining table, center this dining room pendant light on the long axis of the tabletop and leave about 70 cm between the wood and the table. In a kitchen, it lights an island without cluttering the view. In a living room, it can also hang over a console or a low bookcase. In a restaurant or a waiting room, the oak warms a concrete wall or a tiled floor.

The hanging height reaches 150 cm and is adjusted at the time of installation. Check that the housing is level before locking the cables for good. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For upkeep, dust the wood with a soft, dry cloth, without furniture polish.
