Wall Sconce | EMILIO

The Emilio wall sconce by Sollux Lighting is a light fixture with a curved white glass screen, held against the wall by 2 wenge wood supports. It measures 33 cm long, 14 cm wide and 14 cm high, and takes 2 E14 bulbs.

A wall sconce in white glass and wenge wood

The screen of this glass wall sconce stands slightly away from the wall. Its milky tint softens the light and gives the light fixture a soothing look.

The 2 wenge wood supports hold the glass like fasteners. Their very dark brown sets off the pale line of the screen with a sober contrast. This pairing of glass and wood brings warmth without weighing down the wall.

Switched off, Emilio remains a clean white shape that blends into a light wall. Its simple lines suit modern, minimalist interiors, where it adds a touch of natural material.

A soft, diffused light for ambiance

The light passes through the glass and creates a halo around the sconce. This soft light brings out the texture of a paint or a plaster finish.

With 2 light sources behind a wide screen, Emilio lights up far more than a simple point of light. It bathes a hallway in a pleasant glow.

The diffusing glass limits glare: you can walk right past the sconce or sit next to it without being bothered. This is an asset in narrow passages.

Where to install this sconce for a living room or hallway?

In a living room, this living room wall sconce is installed on either side of a sofa or a sideboard. As a pair, it structures the wall and complements the main lighting. The dark touch of the wenge echoes furniture legs, dark frames or a stained wood floor.

In a long hallway, this wall sconce is installed in a series, at regular intervals. It sets a rhythm on the wall and turns the passage into a luminous gallery. Keep the same gap between each sconce for an even look.

In a dining room, a sconce above a side table offers a friendly supplementary light during meals. Check that it is level before the final tightening, as a slight flaw is noticeable on such a wide shape.

Which E14 bulbs for this sconce?

Emilio takes 2 LED E14 bulbs, not included. In warm white, they give the glass a very warm cream tint. In a hallway, a slightly more neutral white makes the screen brighter while remaining comfortable.

Always install 2 identical bulbs. Behind white glass, the slightest difference in power or tint creates a lighter patch on one side of the screen. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

For maintenance, switch off the power and let the bulbs cool. Then clean the glass with a soft, slightly damp cloth and the wooden supports with a dry cloth.
