Ceiling Light Fixture | SALGADO

The Salgado ceiling light fixture by Sollux Lighting is a small cylinder in natural wood or gray concrete that leaves the bulb exposed. It measures 10 cm in diameter and 10 cm high, takes 1 E27 bulb and comes in 2 versions.

A wood or concrete ceiling light

Salgado comes in 2 materials. The wood ceiling light shows the grain and shades of natural wood. Wood is a living material, so its pattern varies from one piece to another.

The concrete ceiling light is gray. Its mineral surface gives it a raw look. This version suits loft or industrial-style interiors.

The 2 versions have the same shape and the same dimensions. You can therefore combine them in the same home. Wood warms a white ceiling, while concrete brings a more mineral note.

A ceiling light with an exposed bulb

The light fixture has no shade. With this exposed bulb ceiling light, the bulb is part of the decor. It lights in all directions, toward the floor as well as toward the walls.

The cylinder measures 10 cm in diameter and 10 cm high. It therefore takes up very little space on the ceiling, whatever the room. This is an advantage in a small room, in a passageway or under a low ceiling.

The shape is minimalist and easy to dust. It matches Scandinavian, modern and minimalist styles. When switched off, the light fixture stays discreet and does not weigh down the ceiling.

Which E27 bulb to choose?

The ceiling light takes 1 E27 bulb, LED, 15 W maximum, not included. The bulb is interchangeable. You are therefore free to choose the color and power of the light.

Since the bulb stays visible, its shape matters as much as its light. A globe bulb gives a soft, round look. An LED filament bulb gives a more retro look, which goes well with wood.

A warm white light suits a bedroom or a living room. A more neutral light suits an office. Avoid overly powerful bulbs, because a bare bulb is looked at directly.

Where to install this bedroom ceiling light?

As a bedroom ceiling light, it is placed in the center of the ceiling or above a bedside table. Its small size also suits a child's bedroom. The wood version brings a warm note there, close to the Scandinavian style.

In a living room or a dining room, this ceiling light can be installed in a row. Several cylinders in a line light a table, a counter or a passageway. In an office, 1 alone is enough above the work surface.

The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power and let the bulb cool. Then dust the cylinder with a soft, dry cloth, without abrasive products.
