Wall Sconce | SALGADO

The Salgado wall sconce by Sollux Lighting is a small cylinder in natural wood or gray concrete, fixed to the wall, that carries an exposed bulb. It measures 10 cm long, 10 cm wide and 10 cm high, and takes one E27 bulb.

A cylinder wall sconce with a minimalist shape

Salgado reduces the light fixture to the essentials: a cylinder of material and a bulb. This cylinder wall sconce shows a minimalist design, without ornament. Its simple shape is also very easy to clean.

At 10 cm per side, it finds its place almost anywhere. It can be placed above a desk, next to a bed or on a narrow section of wall. Alone, it creates a discreet point of light.

Its simple lines suit Scandinavian, modern or minimalist interiors. Concrete also matches loft or industrial-style decors.

Wood or concrete: which version to choose?

The wood wall sconce brings a warm, natural note. It complements a wood floor, light shelves or wooden furniture.

The concrete version displays a light gray and a raw look. It goes with plastered walls, black metal and tiles. Concrete is also a durable material.

On a white wall, the 2 materials stand out like a small relief. In the same room, keep the same version along the whole wall. You can also assign one material to each room of the home.

A sconce with an exposed bulb: which bulb to choose?

The bulb stays visible and is part of the decor. On this exposed bulb sconce, its choice therefore matters as much as the choice of material.

The E27 bulb is easy to replace. You choose the shade and power of the light according to the room. A warm white suits relaxation rooms, a neutral white a workspace.

An LED filament bulb accentuates the retro spirit, which works very well with wood. A frosted globe softens the light at eye level. In a series, install the same bulb throughout.

Where to install this sconce for a bedroom or living room?

This bedroom sconce is placed on each side of the bed. As a pair, the cylinders replace the bedside lamps and free up the bedside tables.

In a living room, this wall sconce lines up in a row above a sofa. In a dining room, it adds a friendly point of light near the table. In an office, it lights the wall without taking up the work surface. In a child's bedroom, natural wood brings a gentle note.

Salgado takes 1 E27 bulb, LED, 15 W maximum, not included. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, then wipe the wood with a dry cloth or the concrete with a soft brush.
