Wall Sconce | PENNE

The Penne wall sconce by Sollux Lighting is an aluminum tube cut at an angle at its 2 ends, available in white or black, that directs light upward and downward. It comes in 20 or 30 cm heights, measures 10 cm long and 12 cm wide in its 20 cm version, and takes a G9 bulb.

A tube wall sconce with two angled cuts

The oblique cut opens the cylinder at the top and bottom. Light spreads from the 2 sides of the sconce and draws 2 cones on the wall.

This tube wall sconce looks like a sharpened quill, hence its name. The aluminum keeps a clean, uniform surface.

On a smooth wall, the beams form regular ellipses. On a textured plaster, they reveal its relief.

20 or 30 cm: which size to choose?

The 20 cm version stays discreet and suits small stretches of wall. It measures 10 cm long and 12 cm wide.

The 30 cm version lengthens the silhouette and gives a stronger presence. Under a high ceiling, it balances the proportions better.

Mixing the 2 sizes on the same wall, at staggered heights, creates a very contemporary vertical rhythm. The 2 versions share the same base and the same finish: you can combine them without any break in style.

White or black sconce: which finish to choose?

In white, Penne blends into a light partition. On this white wall sconce, only the light stands out.

In black, it becomes a graphic bar that is clearly visible and echoes dark furniture. The 2 finishes suit modern, minimalist interiors.

A warm white light gives golden beams that warm up a light paint. A neutral white makes the cones sharper. In a series, keep the same bulb color across the whole wall.

Where to install this sconce for a hallway or living room?

This hallway sconce is installed in an aligned series. It sets a rhythm along the passage and draws a sequence of light patterns on the wall.

In a living room, on either side of a large painting, the 2 cones highlight the frame without directly lighting the canvas. In a bedroom, above the bedside tables, this wall sconce replaces the night lamp with a very soft indirect lighting. In a dining room, a pair frames a mirror or a sideboard.

Penne takes 1 G9 LED bulb, not included: 12 W maximum, or 8 W for the 20 cm black model. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, then dust the tube with a soft, dry cloth.
