Table Lamp | KARBON

The Karbon table lamp from Sollux Lighting is a cylindrical spotlight in ribbed aluminum, mounted on a thin stem and a round base, that swivels to direct the light. It measures 14.5 cm long, 19.5 cm wide and 43 cm high, takes one GU10 bulb and comes in 9 shades.

A designer table lamp with a ribbed spotlight

Karbon is recognizable by its cylinder covered in ribs. This relief catches the daylight and gives character to this designer table lamp. It stands apart from smooth, technical models.

The round base and the thin stem keep a light silhouette. They let the spotlight at the top take center stage. At 43 cm high, the lamp keeps a measured size on a tray.

Its clean design suits modern, Scandinavian or minimalist interiors. When off, it remains a graphic object. The ribs give it a relief that you notice up close.

An adjustable spotlight for precise light

The shade is movable. This adjustable spotlight turns toward the work surface for writing, or toward the wall for indirect light. You adjust the direction of the light to suit the moment.

The GU10 bulb gives a directed beam. A narrow beam suits reading. A wider angle lights the whole desk surface.

The color of the light also depends on the bulb. Neutral white suits work. Warm white goes better with evening reading.

An aluminum lamp in 9 shades

Karbon is made of aluminum. This aluminum lamp comes in 9 shades. White and beige bring out the ribs through the play of shadows alone.

Black and taupe go with dark trays and dark wood. Gold adds a precious touch, on a walnut desk or a marble console. These understated shades suit every room.

Olive green, ocher red, burgundy and ultramarine make it a colorful accent. Echo that color on a notebook, a vase or a cushion. The whole then looks more harmonious.

Where to place this desk or bedside lamp?

On a work surface, this desk lamp is placed on the side opposite the writing hand. The shadow of the hand no longer falls on the page. The spotlight is then aimed at the keyboard or the notebook.

In a bedroom, this lamp serves as a bedside lamp and turns toward the book rather than toward the pillow. In a hallway, on a console, it highlights a mirror or a frame. In a living room, on a low shelf, it lights a plant or an object. In a dining room or a kitchen, it sits on a sideboard.

Karbon takes 1 LED GU10 bulb of 10 W maximum, not included. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. For maintenance, unplug the lamp, then wipe the aluminum with a dry cloth.
