Wall Sconce | COPERTURA

The Copertura wall sconce by Sollux Lighting is a folded sheet of white steel set against the wall, with the light sources hidden behind it. It measures 25 cm wide by 15 cm high and takes 2 G9 bulbs.

A white wall sconce of great simplicity

This white wall sconce relies on pure lines. The steel plate hides the sources and shows only a crisp rectangle from the front. The whole has a polished look, without any superfluous detail. The white of the steel blends into light walls.

When off, Copertura stays very discreet on a white wall. When lit, it becomes a graphic touch that gives structure to a bare wall. Its 25 cm format is wide enough to be seen from afar, and understated enough to be repeated several times on the same wall.

How does this indirect lighting work?

The light escapes around the plate. This indirect lighting draws an even halo on the wall around the rectangle. Since no bulb is visible, the eye is never bothered, an advantage in a narrow hallway where you pass close to the wall.

The halo also brings out the texture of the wall: plaster, polished concrete or lime paint gain relief. As a complement to a ceiling light, Copertura keeps a soft mood in the evening. On a dark wall, the contrast between the white plate and the halo becomes even more pronounced.

Where to install this designer wall sconce?

In a bedroom, 2 wall sconces on either side of the bed replace the bedside lamps and leave the bedside tables clear. In a living room, this designer wall sconce lines up above a sofa or highlights a painting or photos. It provides a warm light for watching a movie.

In a hallway, this wall sconce is placed in a series, at regular intervals, and creates a rhythm of light. In an office, a pair on the back wall gives a pleasant background light. It also suits a kitchen, a dining room or a child's bedroom.

For a series, align the plates at the same height and keep the same spacing between them. A level line drawn beforehand avoids misalignments, which the rectangular shape would make visible.

Which G9 bulbs for this steel wall sconce?

This steel wall sconce takes 2 G9 LED bulbs of 12 W maximum each, not included. A warm white gives a golden halo, suited to bedrooms and living rooms. A neutral white makes the outline crisper in a hallway.

Keep 2 strictly identical bulbs, otherwise the halo may be more intense on one side than the other. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

For maintenance, switch off the power and let the bulbs cool down. A soft, dry cloth is enough to dust the steel. Avoid water near the lamp holders.
