Wall Sconce | RAYO

The Rayo wall sconce from Sollux Lighting is a matte aluminum spotlight whose rectangular reflector is covered in fine, tight fluting. It comes in a 1-light version with a switch, 16 cm wide and 16 cm high, or in a 2-light version, 8 cm wide and 20 cm high, and takes GU10 bulbs.

A grooved wall spotlight with a decorative relief

Rayo combines an elongated shape with a rectangular reflector. This wall spotlight is covered in fine fluting, tight and regular. It gives the metal a relief that you notice from a distance. Daylight draws small lines of shadow across it.

Its modern style suits clean, uncluttered interiors. The matte finish keeps an understated look, without reflections. When off, the sconce remains a graphic detail on the wall.

The same grooved design is found on the 2 versions. You can therefore combine them in the same room. The wall then keeps a consistent line.

A sconce with a switch or with 2 lights

The first version is a 1-light sconce with a switch. It measures 8 cm long, 16 cm wide and 16 cm high. Its reflector can be aimed to direct the light toward a book, a painting or a shelf. It switches on and off with its own switch.

The second version brings 2 light sources together in a single light fixture. It measures 6 cm long, 8 cm wide and 20 cm high. Slimmer, it emphasizes a wall, a passageway or a door frame.

The 2 versions use the same bulb and the same colors. Choose the first for focused lighting near a bed or an armchair. Prefer the second to set a rhythm in a hallway or an entryway.

A matte aluminum sconce in 14 colors

Rayo is made of matte powder-coated aluminum. This aluminum sconce comes in 14 colors. White, beige and taupe blend into a light wall. Only the fluting then stands out under the light.

Black and brown clearly define the spotlight. Olive green, sage and azure blue bring a calm note. Pink and yellow give a more cheerful tone.

Red, ochre red, burgundy and ultramarine turn the sconce into a point of color. Pick up a shade already present in the room, on an armchair or a cushion. The whole then looks more harmonious.

Where to install this sconce for a bedroom or hallway?

Near a bed, the 1-light version serves as a bedroom sconce. Aimed at the book, it lights the page without illuminating the whole room. In an office, it is fixed above the worktop.

In a hallway or an entryway, this 2-light wall sconce repeats along the wall. In a living room, it frames a sofa or a bookcase. In a dining room or a kitchen, it highlights a sideboard or a shelf.

Each light source takes 1 GU10 bulb, LED, 10 W maximum, not included. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, then dust the fluting with a soft, dry cloth.
