Ceiling Light Fixture | RAYO

The Rayo ceiling light from Sollux Lighting is a small surface-mounted spotlight in matte aluminum, covered in fine fluting, that shines downward. It measures 6 cm long, 6 cm wide and 10 cm high, takes one GU10 bulb and comes in 14 colors.

A surface-mounted spotlight with fine fluting

Rayo is recognized by its rectangular reflector, covered in fine, tight fluting. On this surface-mounted spotlight, this precise texture gives a modern, elegant look. It catches the light and draws small, regular shadows.

The spotlight is fixed directly to the ceiling. It requires no cutout in the surface. It is therefore suitable where a recessed spotlight cannot be installed.

At 6 cm per side, it remains very slim. Its height of 10 cm gives it a clear presence. When off, it reads as a small textured block on the ceiling.

A ceiling spotlight facing downward

The light comes out from the underside of the spotlight. This ceiling spotlight lights the area just below. It forms a crisp pool of light on the floor, a table or a piece of furniture.

You choose the shade and the beam with the bulb. A warm white suits a living space. A neutral white suits a kitchen or an office better.

In a series, use the same bulb throughout. The pools of light then have the same size and the same shade. The whole looks more even.

Matte aluminum in 14 colors

The spotlight is made of matte powder-coated aluminum. This aluminum ceiling light keeps a soft, non-reflective look. Dust it with a soft brush to reach the bottom of the fluting.

White, beige and taupe blend into a light ceiling. Black and brown draw a crisp dot. Olive green, sage and ochre red suit natural materials.

Burgundy, ultramarine and azure blue bring a deeper color. Yellow, red and pink add a bright note. Pick up a shade already present in the room, on a cushion or a rug.

Where to install this hallway ceiling light?

This hallway ceiling light is installed in a series, at regular intervals. The spotlights mark out the passage. Draw the alignment before drilling, because the slightest deviation is noticeable.

In a kitchen, this ceiling light is installed in a line above the countertop. In a living room, it highlights an armchair, a console or a shelf. In a bedroom, it lights the wardrobe or the reading corner. In a dining room, several spotlights follow the length of the table.

Rayo takes 1 GU10 bulb, LED, 10 W maximum, not included. The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power, then dust the spotlight with a soft brush or a dry cloth.
