The Heavy Metal pendant light with linear knurling by Buster + Punch is a solid metal cylinder with a straight-line knurl, which houses a downward-facing E27 lamp holder. Its body measures 7 cm high by 6 cm in diameter, it hangs from a 300 cm cable, takes 1 E27 bulb and comes in 4 finishes: burnt steel, brass, steel and gray.

A cylindrical pendant light with a straight-line knurl

The body of this cylindrical pendant light is a solid metal cylinder, 7 cm high and 6 cm in diameter. The E27 lamp holder sits inside, facing downward. Without a shade, the bulb remains fully visible.

The outer face of the cylinder features the linear knurling, known as Linear, a straight diamond-cut knurl. These regular grooves give the metal texture. They set it apart from the Heavy Metal that features the cross knurling, known as Cross, a crisscross knurl.

The cable is matte black rubber and the ceiling rose is matte black metal. The ceiling rose measures 12 cm in diameter by 2.5 cm high. With the cable fully extended, the pendant light hangs down to 314 cm below the ceiling.

Pendant light in burnt steel, brass, steel or gray

The burnt steel pendant light is the most distinctive finish of the 4. It starts from solid stainless steel, exposed to very intense heat. It is this heating that gives the metal its particular tone.

The steel version keeps the light look of the metal. The gray is darker and more discreet. The brass finish brings a golden, warmer tone.

Whatever the finish, the cable and the ceiling rose remain matte black. You can therefore pair 2 finishes above the same table, without breaking the unity of the arrangement.

E27 bulb and dimmer: what you need to plan for

The pendant light takes 1 E27 bulb of 40 W maximum, which is not included. It is designed for an LED bulb. Buster + Punch recommends its Buster Bulb LED bulbs, sold separately.

The light fixture works with a dimmer, provided you choose a compatible bulb. The dimmer is not included. You then adjust the brightness according to the time of day.

The light source is bare: its design is seen as much as its light. Take the time to choose a bulb that you also like when it is switched off. The light fixture connects to the mains, at 220-240 V.

Where to install this minimalist pendant light?

This minimalist pendant light measures only 6 cm in diameter: it slips in where a shade would take up too much space. You can install it on its own in a hallway, above a desk or on either side of a bed, in a bedroom.

This solid metal light fixture also lends itself to rows. Line up several pendant lights above a dining table or a kitchen island, or group them at different heights in a living room or a stairwell. The adjustable 300 cm cable leaves great freedom of height.

The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is reserved for dry rooms. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For a matching set, the range includes another pendant light, the Heavy Metal with cross knurling.
