Pendant Light | FORKED (Shade and Globe)

The Forked pendant light with shade by Buster + Punch is a solid metal light fixture whose round shade sits above a mouth-blown glass globe. Its shade measures 25 cm in diameter on the medium model and 34 cm on the large model, it takes 1 E27 bulb, which is included, hangs from a 300 cm cable and comes with a smoked or opal globe.

A pendant light with a metal shade and a glass globe

This pendant light with a metal shade layers 2 elements. The shade, made of metal spun on a lathe by hand, covers the top of the globe, which extends below the metal. Switched on or off, the pendant light therefore shows both the metal and the glass.

The shade opens wide toward the bottom. It directs the light beneath the pendant light, evenly and without glare.

The globe is mouth-blown. In smoked glass, tinted gray, it softens the brightness of the bulb. In opal glass, it is white.

Pendant light in medium or large model: the dimensions of each size

Two sizes are available. On the medium model, the shade measures 25 cm in diameter and 15 cm in height, and the globe 20 cm in diameter and 19.8 cm in height. On the large model, the shade measures 34 cm in diameter and 20.5 cm in height, and the globe 29 cm in diameter and 28.8 cm in height.

The cable measures 300 cm in the 2 cases, which allows installation under a high ceiling. The hanging height is set at the time of installation, according to the ceiling and the table.

Designer pendant light in solid metal: cast fork and 4 finishes

This designer pendant light is made of solid metal. Its parts are machined or cast, then finished by hand. The name Forked comes from the cast fork-shaped detail carried by the frame. The lamp holder is scored with diamond-cut linear knurling, which is found on the brand's designs.

Four metal finishes are available: gray, steel, brass and burnt steel. Gray is the darkest and brass the warmest, with its golden tone. Steel offers a silvery sheen, and burnt steel several blended tones.

Burnt steel exists only on the Forked with shade: the globe-only versions do not offer it. The brand states that all these finishes develop a patina over time.

Dimmable E27 bulb included: what kind of light?

The pendant light is supplied with 1 dimmable E27 bulb, a 5 W LED. It is the smoked Buster Bulb Forked with a smoked globe and the opal Punch Bulb Forked with an opal globe. Its light is a warm white of 2700 K.

With an LED-compatible dimmer, you adjust the brightness to your liking. The dimmer is not included. The light fixture accepts a bulb of 7 W maximum.

The bulb and the globe can be replaced without changing the light fixture. These 2 bulbs and the replacement globe are sold separately.

A pendant light for the dining room, kitchen or living room

With its light directed downward, this dining room pendant light belongs first of all above a table. It is just as well suited to a kitchen island or a counter. It can also be installed in a living room, a bedroom or an office.

The medium model lets you line up 2 or 3 above a table, the large model suits a large table. The same pendant light also exists without a shade, with the globe alone.

The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is reserved for dry rooms. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The pendant light runs on mains power, at 220-240 V.
