A blown glass globe ceiling light, smoked or opal

The globe of this glass globe ceiling light is mouth-blown. In smoked glass, with a gray tint, it filters part of the light and gives ambient lighting. In opal glass, white and milky, it diffuses the light all around it, softly and evenly.

The globe is not a permanent part: it can be replaced. The Buster + Punch replacement globe is sold separately, in smoked glass as well as in opal glass.

Medium or large ball ceiling light: the dimensions

This ball ceiling light comes in 2 sizes. The medium model measures 41.8 cm high by 20 cm in diameter, with a globe 20 cm wide and 19.8 cm high. The large model measures 50.8 cm high by 29 cm in diameter, with a globe 29 cm wide and 28.8 cm high.

The medium model fits into small spaces and lends itself to installations in a row, above a countertop or along a hallway. The large model has more presence and calls for a good ceiling height. In each of the 2 cases, the ceiling rose measures 12 cm in diameter.

A solid metal light fixture: brass, steel or gray

The structure of this solid metal light fixture is machined and cast, then finished by hand. It carries the detail that gives the model its name: a fork cast in the metal. The lamp holder support is also made of solid metal.

The metal is marked with diamond-cut linear knurling, the signature of Buster + Punch. This surface work gives the piece relief and catches the light.

The ceiling light is available in 3 metal finishes: brass, steel and gray. Brass brings a warm, golden note, steel a silvery sheen, gray a dark tint. The brand states that these finishes develop a patina over time.

Which E27 bulb for the Forked ceiling light?

The ceiling light takes 1 LED E27 bulb of 7 W maximum, and it is included. It is designed for the Forked range and gives off warm white light, at 2700 K.

This bulb is dimmable. The ceiling light therefore works with a compatible dimmer, which is not included. That way you adjust the brightness to suit the moment, from dinner to the end of the evening.

When the time comes, you replace the bulb yourself. The brand provides the smoked Buster Bulb Forked for a smoked globe and the opal Punch Bulb Forked for an opal globe, sold separately.

Where should you install this designer ceiling light?

This designer ceiling light suits a living room, a dining room, a bedroom, a kitchen, an office, a hallway or a stairwell. It hangs 41.8 cm or 50.8 cm below the ceiling depending on the size: check the available height before installation, especially in a walkway. The range also includes a Forked ceiling light with a metal shade.
