Ceiling Light Fixture | SOLIS (Natural Wood)

The Solis ceiling light from Sollux Lighting pairs a square natural wood base with a white glass globe. It measures 12 cm per side and 19 cm high, with a 12 cm shade and 1 G9 bulb.

A natural wood ceiling light

The base of Solis is made of natural wood. This wooden ceiling light brings a warm note to the ceiling. Wood is a living material, so its grain varies from one piece to the next.

The base measures 12 cm per side. Its square shape contrasts with the roundness of the globe. The whole stays simple, compact, and easy to pair with other light fixtures.

The style is minimalist. The light fixture suits Scandinavian or clean-lined interiors. It goes well with light wood floors, wooden furniture, and white walls.

A white glass globe

The shade is a 12 cm sphere of white glass. This glass globe surrounds the bulb. It spreads the light in all directions, toward the floor as well as toward the ceiling.

When on, this small globe ceiling light lights the ceiling as much as the room. The light is soft, with no sharp beam. It suits a calm atmosphere, in a bedroom as well as in an entryway.

When off, the white glass remains decorative. It recalls classic globe light fixtures. Paired with wood, it takes on a more current and warmer look.

Which G9 bulb to choose?

The ceiling light takes 1 LED G9 bulb of 8 W maximum, not included. The bulb is replaceable. You are therefore free to choose the color temperature of the light.

A warm white light suits a bedroom or a living room. A more neutral light suits a hallway or an entryway. In either of the 2 cases, the white glass softens the light.

A single source suits a small space. In a larger room, you can install several ceiling lights. Each one then needs its own electrical connection, to be planned before the work begins.

Where to install this ceiling light for a hallway?

In its role as a hallway ceiling light, it lights a passage or an entryway without taking up space. It is 19 cm high in total, which suits a standard ceiling height. In a long hallway, line up 2 or 3 at regular intervals.

In a bedroom or a child's bedroom, this ceiling light gives a soft light in the center of the room. In a living room, it lights a reading corner or a passage area. In a dining room, several globes can follow the length of the table.

The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, switch off the power and let the bulb cool down. Then wipe the globe and the base with a soft, dry cloth, without water or abrasive products.
