Wall Sconce | HOOKED

The Hooked Nude wall sconce by Buster + Punch is the shadeless version of the Hooked range: a solid metal lamp holder hanging from a hook, which leaves the bulb fully visible. Its adjustable cable measures 45 cm, it takes 1 E27 bulb and comes in 3 finishes: steel, brass and smoked bronze.

A wall sconce with an exposed bulb

On this exposed bulb wall sconce, nothing hides the light source. There is no shade: the bulb hangs at the end of its cable, below the hook. It becomes the centerpiece of the light fixture.

The lamp holder is made of solid metal, with matte rubber details. The knurled details feature the cross knurling, known as Cross, a crisscross knurl engraved in the metal.

The wall base is made of powder-coated metal, in a graphite gray. It stays discreet and lets the hook, the cable and the bulb take center stage.

Solid metal hook and adjustable cable: the Hooked principle

The 45 cm cable runs over a solid metal hook. Its length is adjustable: you choose how low the bulb hangs. This hanging principle gives the range its name.

This industrial wall sconce comes in 3 finishes for its metal details: steel, brass and smoked bronze. On this page, they correspond to the colors Silver, Gold and Gray. In all cases, the base remains graphite.

The brand specifies that its finishes may develop a patina over time. The metal therefore changes over the years, which is part of its look.

Which E27 bulb for a wall sconce without a shade?

The wall sconce takes 1 E27 bulb of 40 W maximum, not included. The brand specifies an LED source. Buster + Punch offers its own bulbs, sold separately.

On a wall sconce without a shade, the bulb is seen as much as it lights. Choose it for its shape and for the tone of its light, not just for its wattage. If you install several wall sconces, keep the same bulb on each one.

Would you like to add a shade later? The Hooked metal shade is sold separately, in the Graphite or Stone color.

Where to install this wall sconce: hallway, bedroom or living room?

Without a shade, the Hooked Nude is the most pared-back version of the range. It suits a hallway, a stairwell, a living room, a dining room, a bedroom, an office or a kitchen. Installed in a row on the same wall, it gives the room rhythm.

You can pair it with the other wall sconce in the range, with a metal shade, in the small or large model. Hooked pendant lights are also available, to carry the same design onto the ceiling.

The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is reserved for dry rooms. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Wall mounting hardware is not included, as it depends on your wall. For cleaning, switch off the power and use a dry cloth, with no chemical products.
