An adjustable ceiling spotlight with a cylindrical head
The head of this adjustable ceiling spotlight is a cylinder 6 cm in diameter, fixed to an arm. This arm lets you pivot it and direct the beam wherever you like. You can therefore light a painting, a worktop or a section of wall, rather than the floor directly below the light fixture.
The spotlight is surface-mounted: it is not recessed, and it is fixed to the ceiling by a round ceiling rose 6 cm in diameter. Overall, it measures 25 cm high. The body therefore remains fully visible and becomes part of the room's decor.
Several Exhaust spotlights can be lined up on the ceiling, each turned toward a different area. The range also includes a fixed surface-mounted spotlight, a track spotlight and a pendant light, in the same colors.
Powder-coated aluminum: graphite or stone color
The body is made of powder-coated aluminum, meaning it is covered with a powder paint. Two colors are available, graphite and stone. The stone color, called Stone by the brand, is a light gray.
The 2 versions have the same shape, the same measurements and the same detail finishes. As this spotlight remains fully visible below the ceiling, its color matters as much as its shape. So you first choose the color of the body, then the metal of the baffle.
Solid metal baffle: linear or cross knurling
At the front of the spotlight, the solid metal baffle catches the light from the bulb and reflects it with a slight metallic sheen. The linear knurling, called Linear, is a linear pattern made of grooves. The cross knurling, called Cross, is a crossed pattern that gives the metal texture. Machined screws, matched to the baffle, complete the design.
The linear knurling comes in gray, brass, burnt steel and steel. The cross knurling comes in brass, black, smoked bronze and steel. All these finishes develop a patina over time.
In the color options on this page, the name Gray refers to the gray finish on the linear knurling and to smoked bronze on the cross knurling. The baffle can be replaced later with an Exhaust Detail Kit, sold separately, in a different finish.
Which GU10 bulb for the Exhaust spotlight?
The spotlight takes 1 LED GU10 bulb of 9 W maximum, which is not included. Buster + Punch offers the Exhaust Bulb GU10, a 7 W LED bulb sold separately, in packs of 3. It stays below the maximum wattage the spotlight allows.
A honeycomb filter, supplied with the spotlight, sits where the light exits. It reduces glare and gives a precise, directional light. You can therefore aim at one point in the room without discomfort to the eye.
The spotlight works with an external dimmer, provided you choose a compatible bulb. The Exhaust Bulb GU10 is a dimmable bulb. The dimmer is not included.
Where to install this designer spotlight on the ceiling?
This designer spotlight is at home in a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a bedroom, an office or a hallway. On its own, it highlights an object or a corner of the room. In a row, it lights the whole space while keeping the beams directed.
The light fixture is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The spotlight connects directly to the mains, at 220-240 V.
The box contains the spotlight body, the baffle and its screws, the honeycomb filter and a ceiling rose spacer. To clean it, switch off the power, then wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth, with no chemical products.
