Pendant Light | CHARM (Half-Sphere)

The CHARM half-sphere pendant light by Sans Souci shelters a luminous globe under a glass half-sphere with metallic reflections, like a pearl in its case. Designed by Sara Moroni and inspired by jewelry, it has a low profile that works well above a table. Available in 3 finishes, it lights a dining room, a kitchen island, a living room or a bedroom.

A designer half-sphere pendant light

The CHARM collection rests on one idea, that of a luminous sphere hidden in the glass. This designer pendant light presents it in another form: here the outer sphere is cut in two and lets the luminous globe show.

Seen from the side, you perceive a dome with metallic reflections. Seen from below, you discover the globe it shelters. The mirror glass reflects the decor, while the inner globe diffuses a soft light. Its horizontal profile preserves the sightlines of the room and fits just as well into a contemporary interior as into a more classic decor.

The half-sphere is made of glass, coated with a metallic nano-coating with a mirror look and completed with sandblasted elements that soften the light. This glass pendant light comes in 3 finishes: Silver, Gold and Rose. The frame is made of stainless steel.

Silver extends bright, pared-back interiors. Gold warms up a wooden table or a neutral wall. Rose brings a softer shade, halfway between the two.

The glass is shaped by hand in the Czech Republic by Sans Souci, hence slight variations in shape and tint from one piece to another.

Where should you install this 30 cm diameter pendant light?

The pendant light measures 30 cm in diameter and 24.5 cm in height and comes with an adjustable 180 cm cable. With its lower profile than the sphere version, it suits ceilings of standard height.

Alone above a round table, or lined up in a row of 2 or 3 above a rectangular table, it becomes a dining room pendant light with a warm, subdued light. It is placed in the same way above an island or a countertop. Adjust the length of the cable during installation so that the fixture does not block the view between guests.

It combines with the CHARM sphere pendant light, wall sconce and table lamp to create a coordinated ensemble throughout the room.

A dimmable G9 pendant light with warm light

The pendant light works with a 4.5 W LED bulb with a G9 base, included, with warm light. Filtered by the sandblasted elements, this light stays pleasant above a table. This G9 pendant light is dimmable, to suit a meal as well as a quieter evening.

Its IP20 protection rating makes it suitable for dry rooms: avoid locations exposed to steam or splashing water. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
