Bedside Lamp | GALILEO

The GALILEO table lamp by Sans Souci combines a main glass sphere with an inner sphere in clear sandblasted glass, which diffuses the light. Conceived by designer Martin Opl, it plays on the contrasts between shadow, transparency and reflection. At 54.7 cm in height, it sits on a console table, a side table, a desk or a bookcase.

A designer table lamp between shadow and transparency

The GALILEO collection makes light a visual element in its own right. This designer table lamp is built on a balanced composition between a luminous sphere and reflective details, which give depth to the whole.

It changes with the viewing angle and the light present in the room. Seen from the front, the inner sphere can be made out through the glass. As you move around it, the reflections change and the lamp takes on a different look. Its vertical format creates a decorative point of light while keeping a light, harmonious presence in the space.

A sandblasted glass lamp, in 3 finishes

The main sphere is made of glass. It houses an inner sphere in clear glass with a sandblasted finish, which creates a delicate contrast between transparency and light diffusion. This glass lamp comes in 3 finishes: Silver, Gold and Rose, with a transparency of 25% that lets you make out the heart of the lamp.

Each finish brings a different shade to the reflections. Silver suits bright, uncluttered settings, Gold warms up a piece of wooden furniture, Rose brings a softer note.

The lamp is made by Sans Souci in the Czech Republic, with specialized expertise in glasswork and the creation of light fixtures.

Where should you place this lamp 54.7 cm in height?

The GALILEO lamp measures 30 cm in diameter by 54.7 cm in height. Allow for a piece of furniture that is deep enough and has enough clear height above it to accommodate the lamp.

On a console table, a side table or a bookcase, this living room lamp catches the eye with its play of transparency and reflections. In a bedroom, it sits on a chest of drawers or a wide bedside table. On a desk, it brings a decorative light. It is also suitable for a professional space, such as a hotel or a restaurant.

Installed alone, it becomes a decorative luminous object. Combined with the other light fixtures in the GALILEO collection, it creates a harmony of light around a shared aesthetic language.

An LED lamp with warm 3000 K light and adjustable brightness

The lamp is fitted with an integrated LED: there is no bulb to provide. This LED lamp diffuses a comfortable light, with a color temperature of 3000 K. Its brightness is adjustable, to create a soft atmosphere in the evening or a more pronounced decorative lighting.

Its IP20 protection rating makes it suitable for the dry rooms of the home.

With its glass sphere, its sandblasted inner sphere and its integrated 3000 K LED, the GALILEO lamp by Sans Souci is as much an object to look at as a source of light. Made in the Czech Republic and designed by Martin Opl, it brings a warm atmosphere and a strong identity to the living room, the bedroom or the office.
