Wall Sconce | GALILEO

The GALILEO wall sconce by Sans Souci combines sandblasted glass that diffuses the light with reflective elements that give it depth. Created by designer Martin Opl, it plays on the contrasts between transparency, reflection and shadow. With its vertical format 79.7 cm in height, it structures the wall of an entryway, a hallway, a living room or a bedroom.

A designer wall sconce that plays with light and material

The GALILEO collection explores the relationship between light and material. This designer wall sconce is not just a source of lighting: it turns light into a decorative element in its own right, visible in the glass as much as on the wall.

Its appearance changes with the surrounding light. During the day, the reflective surfaces catch the brightness of the room. In the evening, the light highlights the volumes of the glass and creates a subtle interplay between direct lighting and material effects. It is this dialogue between what lets light through and what sends it back that gives the piece its character.

A sandblasted glass wall sconce, in 3 finishes

Glasswork is at the heart of the collection. The glass with a sandblasted finish diffuses the light delicately, while the reflective elements bring depth to the composition. This glass wall sconce thus strikes a balance between transparency and reflection.

3 finishes are available: Silver, Gold and Rose. Each brings a particular shade to the reflections of the glass. Silver suits bright, uncluttered settings, Gold warms up a neutral wall, Rose brings a softer note.

The wall sconce is made by Sans Souci, a company specializing in glasswork and in the creation of light fixtures where light becomes a true aesthetic material.

A large wall sconce 79.7 cm in height

The GALILEO wall sconce measures 30 cm in diameter by 79.7 cm in height. This large wall sconce becomes a true architectural element: it dresses a section of wall on its own, where a smaller model would get lost. Allow for a wall that is clear over its full height so that the composition can be read at a single glance.

In an entryway or a hallway, it welcomes and gives rhythm to the passage. In a living room, it creates a decorative point of light next to a sofa or a console table. In a bedroom, it brings a soft light. It can be installed alone or combined with other light fixtures from the collection to build a harmonious composition.

It is also suitable for professional projects: a hotel, restaurant or reception area looking for distinctive decorative lighting.

An integrated LED wall sconce for ambient light

The wall sconce is fitted with an integrated LED source: there is no bulb to provide. This LED wall sconce thus keeps a clean look, with no visible source, and diffuses a soft, decorative light.

It operates on 220-240 V and its IP20 protection rating makes it suitable for dry rooms: avoid locations exposed to steam or splashing water. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

With its sandblasted glass, its reflective elements and its 79.7 cm in height, the GALILEO wall sconce by Sans Souci turns the wall into a play of light and material. Designed by Martin Opl, it brings an elegant and timeless presence to the entryway, the living room or the bedroom.
