The BOND ceiling light by Sans Souci brings two pieces of glass close to the ceiling, one convex and one concave, assembled around a light source. Designed by Martin Opl, it forms a low-profile double disc that reflects the room when it is off and lights up from within once switched on. Available in 2 diameters and 3 finishes, it suits hallways, bedrooms and living rooms.

A low-profile designer ceiling light

This designer ceiling light was designed for spaces where a pendant light would hang too low: hallways, bedrooms, more intimate rooms. It takes up less than 20 cm below the ceiling and yet keeps a strong presence, that of the double glass disc that is the signature of the BOND collection.

Switched off, it behaves like a tinted mirror: the nano-coating catches the natural light and makes the look of the fixture evolve over the course of the day. Switched on, it reveals its luminous core through the glass and brings real decorative character without cluttering the volume of the room.

A sandblasted glass ceiling light with metallic reflections

The clear glass is sandblasted on the inside to diffuse the light softly. A metallic nano-coating then gives it its mirror look. This glass ceiling light comes in 3 finishes: Silver, Gold and Rose. This choice lets you match it to the handles, the neighboring light fixtures or the other metals in the room.

The stainless steel frame goes unnoticed behind the glass. The glass pieces are shaped by hand in the Czech Republic by Sans Souci, hence slight variations in shape and tint from one piece to another.

Which ceiling light diameter should you choose: 30 or 40 cm?

The BOND ceiling light is available in a 30 cm diameter with a height of 14.5 cm, and in a 40 cm diameter with a height of 19 cm. Its low height makes it suitable for standard ceilings.

Go for the 30 cm size for an entryway or a walk-in closet. This hallway ceiling light also lends itself to rows: in a long passage, several units placed at regular intervals trace a path of light. The 40 cm size suits a bedroom or a medium-sized living room.

It pairs with the BOND wall sconce, pendant light and table lamp. You can thus carry the same double glass disc from the hallway to the living room, with a consistent lighting signature throughout the home.

A dimmable G9 ceiling light with warm light

The ceiling light works with a 5 W LED bulb with a G9 base, included, which emits a warm 2700 K light, softened by the sandblasted glass. This G9 ceiling light is dimmable, so you can go from mood lighting in the evening to a stronger light when the room needs it.

It runs on 220-240 V and its IP20 protection rating restricts it to dry rooms: avoid locations exposed to steam or splashing water. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
