A round wall sconce with an eclipse effect

The Borgen sconce rests on a simple idea: an opaque disc 30 cm in diameter, set a few centimeters from the wall, surrounded by a halo. The contrast between the dark circle and the light around it recalls a solar eclipse. The effect changes with the material of the wall: sharp on smooth plaster, more vibrant on stone or textured concrete.

At 3.5 cm thick, this round wall sconce stays very discreet in profile. When off, it reads as a graphic disc; when on, it turns a bare wall into a luminous decor. It suits a contemporary interior as well as a warmer decoration.

An indirect lighting sconce, 20 W LED in 3000 K

The light never reaches you head-on: it first lights the wall, then spreads into the room. This indirect lighting stays soft, with no dazzling point. The 20 W LED source delivers about 2400 lumens in warm white 3000 K, enough to dress a wall and create a real ambiance, without replacing the main ceiling light.

The LED is integrated and supplied with the sconce: you have no bulb to buy. For the halo to develop fully, leave a clear space around the disc, because a shelf or a frame too close would cut the circle of light. The sconce is rated IP20, for indoor use in dry rooms.

White and beige almost merge with a light wall and leave all the room to the halo: these are the most discreet versions. Black draws a very marked disc, particularly successful on a dark wood or stone wall. Olive green, red ochre and gold bring a note of matte color, in the spirit of the 70s.

The seventh version is a wooden wall sconce: its oak front shows the natural grain of the material. It goes well with a parquet floor, a wooden headboard or Scandinavian furniture with clean lines. Combined on the same wall, several finishes form a composition that is both warm and modern.

A wall sconce for the bedroom, living room or hallway

A single Borgen sconce is enough to create an accent point above an entryway console or near an armchair. In a bedroom, two discs on either side of the bed offer an ambient light in the evening: a bedroom wall sconce whose slim profile avoids bumps. In a stairwell or on a large wall, several discs placed at different heights make up a true installation.

The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, a soft, dry cloth is enough on the metal versions. On the oak version, avoid water and household products, which could tarnish the wood.
