Wall Sconce | LAGOM

This vertical LED wall sconce draws a slender stroke of light on the wall, held a few centimeters from the surface by a small bracket at its base. Designed by Thoro, the Lagom sconce comes in three heights, from 90 cm to 150 cm, in six colors and in two shades of white: everything you need to light a staircase, a hallway or a living room with a clean line.

A linear wall sconce with a vertical line

The Lagom sconce boils down to a thin aluminum bar, 4 cm by 7 cm in section, standing upright. A discreet bracket at its base holds it away from the wall: the bar seems almost to stand on its own and casts a light shadow that gives depth to the wall. The effect is especially successful on a wood or plaster wall.

The LED module runs the full height of the bar. The light spreads to both sides and forms a soft halo that follows the line of the light fixture. This linear wall sconce is also available as a matching ceiling light from Thoro, which lets you extend the same line of color from the wall to the ceiling.

An integrated LED sconce in 3000 K warm white or 4000 K neutral white

The light source is an integrated LED, included with the light fixture: there is no bulb to provide. With a color rendering index of 93, the light faithfully renders the shades of materials, fabrics and paintings. The sconce runs on 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating, for indoor use in dry rooms.

Two color temperatures are available. The 3000 K warm white creates an intimate atmosphere, ideal for a staircase, a living room or a bedroom in the evening. The 4000 K neutral white gives a crisper light, suited to an office hallway, a lobby or a commercial space. On the same wall, keep the same shade for all the sconces so that the whole remains uniform.

Three heights from 90 cm to 150 cm and six colors

The 90 cm version, with a power of 12 W, delivers about 1600 lumens at 3000 K. It suits a hallway, an entryway or the side of a headboard. The 120 cm model, at 15 W, dresses a living room wall or frames a door under a standard-height ceiling. The 150 cm version, at 22 W and nearly 3000 lumens, comes into its own in a stairwell or a double-height space.

As for finishes, white and beige blend into a light wall and leave only the light visible. Black draws a graphic line on a light wood facing or a white wall. Gold, olive green and red ochre make this designer wall sconce a decorative element in its own right, in harmony with textiles and objects in natural tones.

A sconce for the staircase, hallway or living room

Along a staircase, several sconces of the same height installed at regular intervals follow the climb and mark out each flight of steps: this is the ideal use for this staircase wall sconce, which lights without causing glare. In a hallway, it sets the rhythm of the wall without obstructing the passage. To frame a door or a mirror, install two sconces of the same color on either side: the symmetry highlights the central element.

The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before installation, check the position of the electrical outlet: the bracket is at the base of the bar and determines the mounting height. Also check that it is vertical with a level, because over 150 cm the slightest tilt is visible. For maintenance, a soft, dry cloth is enough.
