An LED ring ceiling light flush to the ceiling

The Rio ceiling light takes the circle of the pendant light of the same name and brings it closer to the ceiling. Its support, offset to one side, leaves the circle free: the ring seems to be set at a slant, which gives the light fixture a much lighter look than a central plate. At only 6 cm high, this ceiling light for low ceilings suits low rooms, hallways and attic bedrooms.

The 8 mm wide profile diffuses light downward and toward the ceiling. The room therefore receives direct lighting, complemented by a soft reflection above the ring. When off, the light fixture is reduced to a thin line; when on, it draws a continuous circle of light.

Three round ceiling light diameters: 55, 78 or 110 cm

The 55 cm circle suits a bedroom, an office or a wide hallway, and stays discreet under a ceiling of standard height. The 78 cm model is a well-proportioned round ceiling light for a medium-sized living room or a dining room.

The large 110 cm ring is meant for spacious rooms. Before ordering, check the available space, particularly with regard to beams or dropped ceilings. In a hallway or a run of connected rooms, two ceiling lights of the same diameter installed at regular intervals create a calm rhythm and continuous light.

An integrated LED from 21 to 47 W, in 3000 K or 4000 K

Depending on the size, the power ranges from 21 to 47 W, for a luminous flux of nearly 3000 to over 6000 lumens: that is enough to light an entire room. The integrated LED is included, with no bulb to supply or replace. The manufacturer states a color rendering index of 93 at 3000 K and 98 at 4000 K, for true colors on walls, fabrics and wood.

Warm white 3000 K creates a welcoming atmosphere in a living room or bedroom: it is the most common choice at home. Neutral white 4000 K makes colors crisper and suits a kitchen, an office or a professional space. In an open room, keep the same temperature for all the light fixtures, because a mix of shades is immediately noticeable on a white ceiling.

Seven finishes for an aluminum designer ceiling light

This aluminum ceiling light comes in seven finishes. White and beige blend into a light ceiling and let the luminous circle occupy the field of view on its own. Black draws a crisp, graphic ring that keeps its presence even when off. Gold and polished gold catch daylight and add a precious note, while red ochre and olive green go easily with colored walls or natural wood.

The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The ceiling light is fixed by its side support: take this offset into account, because the center of the circle is not directly above the electrical outlet. Rio has an IP20 protection rating and is reserved for dry rooms. A soft, dry cloth is enough to dust the profile.
