With its white two-tier shade set right against the ceiling, this fabric ceiling light gives off a soft, enveloping light, with nothing left hanging down. Designed by Thoro, the Top ceiling light comes in three sizes and takes three E27 bulbs: an elegant solution for lighting a bedroom, a living room or a hallway, even under a low ceiling.

The Top ceiling light takes the softness of a shaded lamp and brings it up to the ceiling. Its stretched fabric parchment shade is made up of two stacked tiers, each one highlighted by a fine dark piping. This detail is enough to give structure to a very understated round shape: seen from a distance, the light fixture looks like a small drum set against the ceiling.

The model came out of a collaboration between Thoro and Piotr Żydowski, who is also behind the Biscuit collection. The manufacturer built in a magnet system designed to make everyday use easier, a real comfort on a light fixture mounted up high. The white of the fabric suits every style, from Scandinavian to contemporary, including more classic decor.

A 3-light E27 ceiling light with soft light

This 3-light ceiling light takes three bulbs with an E27 base, with a maximum power of 15 W each in LED. The fabric spreads the light evenly and avoids the bright spot that a glass diffuser often leaves. The result: a soft light without glare, pleasant as main lighting.

The bulbs are not included, which lets you choose the shade and intensity. A warm white strengthens the cozy side of the fabric in a bedroom or a living room; a neutral white gives a brighter light in a hallway or an entryway. Use three identical bulbs to get even lighting. The light fixture runs on 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating, for indoor use in dry rooms.

Three sizes, including a flat ceiling light for a low ceiling

The Top ceiling light comes in three sizes. The model with a 50 cm diameter and a height of 20 cm suits a bedroom, an entryway or a wide hallway. The model with a 60 cm diameter, also 20 cm high, takes up more space and lights a living room or a large living area.

The third version keeps the 60 cm diameter but is only 14.5 cm high. This flat ceiling light stays discreet when ceiling height is limited. To choose, first look at the available height, then at the area to light: a large flat diameter is often more elegant than a small tall model.

A fabric ceiling light for the bedroom, living room or hallway

In a bedroom, this bedroom ceiling light softens the general lighting and echoes the curtains, the headboard and the bed linen. In a living room, it provides discreet overall light, to be complemented by a few accent lamps for the evening. In a hallway or an entryway, its low height frees up the passage while lighting a wide area.

The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner set to minimum is enough to dust the fabric, with no water or stain remover.
