With its long sheet of steel folded in two like origami, this kitchen island pendant light spreads generous light along the entire length of the countertop. Designed by Thoro, the Elva pendant light measures 150 cm long, comes in white or beige and can be chosen in 3000 K or 4000 K: a very simple shape for the kitchen, the dining room or the office.

A linear pendant light in folded sheet metal, origami style

The Elva pendant light relies on a single gesture: a sheet of metal folded along its center, with an LED strip set beneath the fold. This fold serves as a reflector. The light is directed downward, onto the table or the island, while the wings of the sheet hide the source when you look at the fixture from the side.

Seen in profile, this linear pendant light looks like a wing or a page that has just been folded. It measures 150 cm long by 27.5 cm wide, yet its silhouette avoids the bulky look of some fixtures of the same length. The thin transparent cables make you forget the mounting: the sheet seems to float above the countertop.

A 24 W LED pendant light with faithful color rendering

This LED pendant light is fitted with a 24 W source, integrated and included. According to the manufacturer's data, it delivers about 3100 lumens in 3000 K and a little over 2800 lumens in 4000 K. That is enough to light a large table or an entire preparation area properly, without multiplying the light points.

Its color rendering index of 93 faithfully reproduces the shades of food, fabrics and wood, a real asset above a kitchen or a dining table. The fixture runs on 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating, for indoor use in dry rooms.

Warm white 3000 K or neutral white 4000 K, in white or beige

The warm white 3000 K creates a welcoming atmosphere. Choose it for a dining room or a kitchen open to the living room, where the lighting also accompanies moments of relaxation. The neutral white 4000 K promotes concentration and precision: it suits an office, a workshop or a countertop where you cook often. In an open room, keep the same temperature as the other light fixtures.

As for color, the white version blends into a kitchen with light-colored cabinet fronts. It provides light without adding a strong visual element, which suits streamlined interiors. The beige version brings a softer nuance, which pairs well with light wood, natural stone or sand-colored countertops.

A pendant light for an island, dining table or office

Above an island, its 150 cm covers the whole preparation surface with a single fixture. Above a table seating six to eight, this dining room pendant light distributes the light evenly from one end to the other: align it with the long axis of the tabletop. In an office or a shared workspace, it lights a large surface without glare.

The total height reaches 200 cm. Adjust the cables to place the sheet 70 or 80 cm above the surface to be lit. It is mounted with a rectangular ceiling canopy of 23 cm. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, a soft, dry cloth is enough for the sheet metal.
