Ceiling Light Fixture | LAGOM

With its 181 cm aluminum profile held beneath the ceiling by a single central housing, this linear LED ceiling light draws a crisp line of light across the room. Designed by Thoro, the Lagom ceiling light comes in six colors and two light temperatures, 3000 K or 4000 K: an understated solution for lighting a hallway, a living room or a large kitchen.

A 181 cm linear ceiling light in aluminum

The Lagom ceiling light reduces the fixture to the essentials. This aluminum ceiling light takes the form of a profile 4 cm wide and 181 cm long, with a total height of 7 cm. It is held a short distance from the ceiling by a short rod, connected to a mounting housing of 24 cm. This slight spacing gives the line a very graphic floating effect.

Beneath the profile, an opal diffuser spreads the light over the entire length. No light point can be made out, only a bright, even strip that lights without glare. With such a length, check the available space before ordering, especially under a ceiling with beams or soffits.

An integrated 40 W LED in 3000 K or 4000 K

The light source is a 40 W integrated LED, included with the fixture: no bulb is needed. In 3000 K, it delivers about 5300 lumens, enough to light a hallway, a living room or a large kitchen generously. The manufacturer states a color rendering index of 93 in 3000 K and 98 in 4000 K: the shades of walls, wood and paintings remain faithful.

The warm white 3000 K suits living areas and bedrooms, where an enveloping light is wanted in the evening. The neutral white 4000 K is better suited to kitchens and offices, where clarity matters more than ambiance. If Lagom sits alongside other fixtures in the same room, keep the same temperature throughout: a mix of warm and neutral is noticed very quickly on a white ceiling.

Six colors for a designer, discreet ceiling light

White and beige blend into a light ceiling. When switched off, the fixture almost disappears, and only the line of light structures the space once it is on. Black, by contrast, draws a bold line, very effective under a white or wooden ceiling: it echoes dark joinery, metal frames and furniture with tense lines.

Gold, olive green and red ochre turn the ceiling light into a decorative element. These matte colors bring a warm touch that softens the technical look of a linear fixture. The Lagom collection also includes matching wall sconces, which makes it possible to carry the same line of color from the ceiling to the wall.

A ceiling light for a hallway, kitchen or living room

In a long hallway or a gallery, this hallway ceiling light is placed along the axis of the passage: its line guides the eye to the end of the space and emphasizes its perspective. Above a kitchen island or a long countertop, it lights the whole surface in one piece. In a living room, it marks out an area, parallel to the sofa or along a large bay window.

The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The central housing is fixed to the ceiling above the electrical outlet. Align the profile with a wall or a line of furniture before tightening the fixing, because a slight angular offset is immediately visible over this length. The fixture runs on 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating, for dry rooms. A soft, dry cloth is enough to dust the profile and the diffuser.

With its 181 cm aluminum profile, its integrated 40 W LED and its six colors, the Lagom ceiling light by Thoro lights hallways and large rooms with a crisp, elegant line of light. Made in Poland, it comes in warm white 3000 K or neutral white 4000 K, depending on the desired mood.
