A rectangular chandelier designed for the table

Most dining tables are rectangular, and a round fixture often leaves the ends in shadow. The frame of the Tuula pendant light follows the shape of the tabletop and lights each guest in the same way, from one end to the other.

The LED module runs the whole length of the aluminum profile. The light is spread across the entire frame instead of coming from a central point, which avoids darker areas at the ends of the table. The transparent cables are easily forgotten and let the rectangle float above the tabletop.

A 50 W LED chandelier in 2 sizes

This LED chandelier houses an integrated source, included. According to the manufacturer's data, the 2 sizes both deliver 50 W for about 5700 lumens in 3000 K. It is direct lighting, sufficient to serve as the main light in a dining room. With a color rendering index of 90, the dishes, tableware and the wood of the table keep natural colors.

The 100 cm by 30 cm size suits tables for 4 to 6 people: its narrow frame stays discreet in an open kitchen or a living room of modest dimensions. The 130 cm by 40 cm size goes with large tables seating 8 and generous islands. A simple rule: the frame should be shorter than the table by at least 30 cm on each side.

Gold, black or white pendant light, in 3000 K or 4000 K

The gold pendant light has a slightly grained finish that catches the light. It warms a dining room with dark walls and pairs with brass or copper. The black version draws the rectangle with precision, above a table in solid wood or dark ceramic. The white version is easily forgotten under a light ceiling: the line of light then becomes the main element.

The warm white 3000 K remains the most common choice above a dining table: it shows off the food and creates a convivial atmosphere. The neutral white 4000 K is justified above a countertop, a meeting table or a shared office. In a kitchen open to the living room, match the temperature of the chandelier to that of the kitchen spotlights.

A pendant light for a dining room or kitchen island

Align the long side of this dining room pendant light with the length of the table before permanently fixing the ceiling canopy. If you are unsure about the color, look at the chairs rather than the table: a chandelier in the same shade as their legs or frame visually links the whole and makes for a more coherent dining area.

The pendant light hangs down to 150 cm and is adjusted by means of the transparent cables. Leave about 70 cm between the tabletop and the bottom of the frame. The fixture runs on 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating, for dry rooms. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Care for the profile with a soft, dry cloth, without abrasive products.
